I brought a Alcatel one touch 900 less then a week ago and am having trouble connecting to the internet, I have done everything what my provider as instructed me to do and still can not connect.... could you please help????

hello sir am happy to come across you web i bought a phone Alcatel 900 one touch and i cant access to any network accept orange when am inserting another Sim the say insect network code. please am waiting on to your kind respond to my problem

i once saw this phone in kenya, i mean just one and ive never seen another one since then. why is it not available? i mean kenya is the largest user of alcatel mobile in east africa, yet we dont have that one!

It is the best phone I have ever had and can perform many tsks on this phone. 1 prob is that the wires in the usb cable gets cut very easily. And I think if we can minimise web pages then we might be able to copy n paste text to sms or notes I think.

i have a month of hands-on-experience with it and i love it. but i specifically went for it after my experience with the predecessor, OT-800. basically its an improved OT 800, the differences being:
- option to choose a default web browser btn Opera and the inbuilt. Opera's fast. which is good
- 3G, unfortunately, there's no wifi
- soft touch keypads which are not so hard to find due to its broad specs.
-ability to customize the apps shortcuts is a great plus and what separates these versions of Alcatels with other fone models.
-the earphone is compatible with the stereo nokia headphones so if you loose yours, you can get more than enough replacements. you knw where!!!


the cons?
-the battery, like the predecessor isnt much better, you will be fortunate to go two days with surfing and internet.
-the track pad could do with more sensitivity, its too slow and you cant easily cover a lenghty passage with it.
-you cannot set the phone to both vibrate and ring at the same time, but either. who's idea was this? he should be fired...just kidding.
- if doesnt come with an installation CD to connect it with a computer. even the installed CD for OT-800 doesnt recognise it. likewise, sites where you'd download java-based apps, do not recognise it, at least, not now.
going by the price, its a nice bargain

Hia i recently did a youtube video on this phone and basically it's a little bulky has a trackpad keybad set out like a blackberry but call and end call button are nice and simple and never jam there is also 2 buttons like hyphens though fairly small and they are set out like this - -
i will inclose a link later on to buy this product from me second hand once i have finished with it i have had 8 blackberrys having my first phone at just 6 years old being a tocco lite and now being 21 i have taken quite a big step forward in the land of technology.I am a teacher and some of the kids seem to have good phone even though they are just as young as 11,anyhow i use this phone as my work phone and it seems to cover pretty much everything i need for work cheap too i have a blackberry 8530 for my personal use at home you can get a dual sim card form also take care ,yours sincerely katy clement x

Yeah its good but in the time is was released I expected wifi. Loving the Bluetooth tho. And the white looks cool. Loving the software from where I'm standing it looks kinda hd lol
