Guillermo, infrared of this phone is to be used only in transferring files like icons, images, directory, ringtone, etc. There's no phone so far that supports transferring games via infrared or bluetooth. Games cannot be transferred but they can be downloaded. This phone really supports MIDP2 but again no java games for mobile phone so far can be transferred to a phone via infrared. You can download games by using your OT C552's gprs and that is by visiting a website that offers free games like www.getjar.com. There's no way you can transfer games from your pc to your OT C552. You can only transfer games from your pc to a phone that has memory extension or memory card and that is via card reader.

I have this unit but I cannot copy any games from my computer using the infrared. it said that it "is data error" but in the specs of the cellphone it is compatible with MIDP2. Hey!!! pls help me about this problem. thanks! regards...guil

if any one have a memory problem with phone - try the following code (I have only to vipe the memory on 535) to delete everything in the phone memory:
###847# - return to factory settings, this deletes everything in mobile, including contacts and calendar
Remember to back up everything (pictures/melodies/contacts and make a note of the settings for wap/gprs/mms) before performing the procedure
PS try to delete the sent message and video/photos/ringtones first!

ok, this fone is ok. sometimes when i turn it on it shuts down and freezes. its kinda slow, its realy slow opening folders and text messeging. the camera is ok. but lets not forget that a fone is 4 talking, not 4 all the junk that it has. so 4 talking its good.

this is my 2nd phone in 3 years... in general i found it was a lovely purchase and satisfied all my needs. pity that it's experiencing the same problem twice. 3 months after purchase it started switching on and off automatically, sent it for repairs... now 6 months later i have the same problem. is this a general defect????????

This is my first cellphone, almost everything really works well. It has built-in cam, nice tones (midi and wav), great themes... Yet, after two months, I have to bring it back to a repair center because when I switch it on, it shuts down after loading its components and then starts again. That will repeat virtually forever, unless you'll remove the battery. Then, if you switch it on... it just do the same thing. Meaning, you can't use it. I would like you to know this so that you don't have to commit the same mistake... I was really disappointed. After some hopeless months, (since the repair center didn't fixed it yet, after 2 months when i gave them), I bought Nokia 1600, it's simple yet, it really do what it should do, no flaws yet.
I hope I helped other people here. Choose Nokia, or, I guess, Sony Ericsson. And not Alcatel, because it has many flaws along with its features. I'm really disappointed with this. :(

Guys the phone is good. I used it.
Great and unique design, Perfect size, good VGA, very good functionality, It has double than it is priced for... Great job Alcatel. Just work on volumn little bit.

I think this is a good phone for the money.Just please help me with one thing it seems that my eco mode display -the one which appears after leaving the phone for some time- isnt bright in fact I cannot see it at all, only a dark screen. any suggestions?

Alcatel! what's your problem? why making so many phones with so many flaws! I'd bought this model in February this year.. and since then I had many many problems with it.. meaning shutting down in the middle of a call, or just not turning on at all. It's a pity cause the software this phone has is user-friendly and can be customised but, seriously, it's very slow when writing SMSs and when trying to access to its features. The camera is good for begin a only a VGA, so, to be honest.. I don't know who the heck is the one in charge of launching this models.. but.. he/she should give do a market research and see what the users think.. and he/she will be surprised at our opinions. All in all.. this models sucks, poor features, many problems, low mic and battery capicity.. my advice? DON'T BUY IT!! it's a waste money! From Buenos aires Argentina
