That is not strange, because not every PC and or laptop has a bluetooth transceiver so adding a bluetooth option in the PC suite would not make sense as most people don't yet have it on their PC.

very nice, but pc suite doesnt work with the bluetooth, only with usb cable?

Noura the phone is of good quality. Its really nice.

Mohammed: It could be that your memory card is broken. Or its of a slow type and of an inferior brand.

About the bluetooth, all mono and stereo headsets work with the phone perfectly.

dear all
i have a little problem with my phone , the phones takes a long time opening my music folder on the memory card , i don't know why although my memory card is 256mb only and there is 12% free memory on it.
also i can create folders on the phone but i cannot move files into it , how can i do it ?(through the phone not the computer)

This phone have handsfree feature.

You can simply reject a call when it is closed by just ignoring it. Don't just pick it up. Don't attend to it.

Hi, I'd like to know a couple of things about this mobile:
Does this phone lack loudspeaker?
Can I reject a call with the phone closed?

temptime i am using alcatel pc suite on vista , also i used to use it on Xp and it is totally safe and is running well also
by the way it is a gr8 piece of software u should try it ,,, don't be afraid ;)

HI, when i want install de PC suite cd on my Windows Xp, Windows sent a warning : "This software is not windows-logo, and thus a danger install, some drivers or prog's can maybe no more working properly. What is this ? Is this software realy dangerous for my system ? Is there somewone how have expierence with this.

it has power. battery is full charged. the problem is it shutdowns after i press the power button.it doesnt open.pls help me. thank you.

Hi everybody this model is very nice compare to Nokia Music Mobile. B'casue this is very low cost mobile. Music is very nice and Head set jacky is fine.

You are in risk the cellphone WONT read a 4gb microSD, 2gb will read

Putting a 2gb (beyond said) card, will slow your cellphone's speed, and when accessing the Card's data, it will be really slow (compared to the recomended 1gb card)

Alcatel ISNT lying, they are just suggesting you, a card that will accept the cellphone (2gb cards are in risk they wont be read by cellphone, or work too slow in it)

What's the "real" maximum memory card capacity for this model?

I know this is a repeated question, but please read on...

I've 1GB memory card, and I was told that this is the maximum this model can hold. But, after reading other users' comments about installing 2GB cards, I decided to contact Alcatel.

They said, It's 1GB. I told them; but others have 2GB, and I gave them a link to this site, which states that 2GB memory cards are working fine with this model. They replied; The maximum "official" memory card is "still" 1GB.

My questions are:
- If 1GB is the maximum, and 2GB is working fine, does this mean I can install cards beyond the maximum capacity, say, 4GB?
- If I installed a memory card beyond the maximum capacity, do I risk corrupting/losing data? Slowing down/hanging my device?
- If 1GB isn't the maximum, why Alcatel is lying about it?

damjan: about ur frist question u have to install alcatel ot-c701 PC Suite and i think u already installed it from the CD with the phone after this pulgin USB cable with ur phone u going to get USB config screen on ur phone with options mass storge, Webcam ,COM port ,charging . pick COM port and press okey then open the ALCATEL PC Suite from ur computer desktop when the program start pick ur phone model ot-c701 then click next the program will ask u if u connect the USB cable with ur phone and u set the COM port prss okey for this message then press next the program will search for ur phone and it gona apears in the list under Device name when u see ur phone in the list press connect and ur phone will be connect with ur PC.
about ur second question to buy microSD 512mb yea it suport music u can play music from microSD through ur phone and this phone have loud speakrs the sound quality in this phone very good.

Nelson: frist thanx for ur comment about my opinion, about hearing ring through my phone speakers while im plug in the headest if sumone calling me it is the same !! i did not found any option can make the ring come out through phone speakrs while im plugin the headst. and if u know this option it gona be nice if u share with us.
and about the camera i know it is VGA but it is not the best when we talk about VGA camera :-) anyway thanks for ur comment

the phone is good.i have him one mans.in second week the listening of music was so bad so i get the phone in service.now the listening of music is so good what the sound is very power.i have two questions
1.when i buy the phone there was the USB cable and one CD.i look at the CD and i put the CD in my PC computer and i see one installater of USB cable i install the program in i connect the phone with my PC computer and the connection failed wy please looking for answer
2.i am asking to buy a memory card who supporded 512 mg and i read that the microSD memory cards don't supporded music is that true please lookinf for a answer
