Geez that's stupid. I can't understand what's the point having an impossible-to-read-in-most-conditions screen! I mean, why? Only because it looks different? Why did they fit a screen on the mobile phone, first of all? TO READ INFORMATION. So, if I can't read INFORMATION, why need a screen? That's stupid.

Alcatel is using infrared from OT COM and 715, so that is not an upgrade..
And we can discuss how ancient that is.. But every phone has it's "targeted" group, so this phone obviously isn't ment to be for "very-demanding" users..

at least they upgrade themselves by adding the ancient infraport.

And let me add few models more:
Nokia 6060,3220,6020,6101,7260,3200,6230 (6MB ??? for the their top model at that time..),6820,5140,6610..........
Moto U6, V560, V557, L6,L2,V620, E375,E378....
Siemens CFX65,ST60,ST55,MC60,CC75,CF110(1.5MB???),SX1 (4MB available???)...
Many Philips models also..
Would you like some more?
So as you see, Alcatel just follows the trend as other brands do, so make sure you know the facts first, and then embarass yourself if you'll still think you're right..

In review in www.mobile-review.com about C651, which also has CSTN screen says that it looks IDENTICAL as 756/757 which has TFT screen..
So I expect the same thing happening here.

Mirror effect screens acts like a mirror when the screen is not activated. but when the screen is activated, it is just like any other screen. extreamly cool idea. check out this ladies' phone to find out http://www.glamphone.com/
