Yes, the phone can only play mp3 files. No wma, aac, wav or whatever else.
But the good thing is that they can be of any bit rate - that doens't really make any difference to the phone.

the capacity of the inbox is depending on your simcard - all the received sms (text messages) are stored on the simcard. but you can can transfer the sms to the phone memory by using the archive option under the options you get then you read a sms.

and I have a question:
can ot-e801 only play mp3 files (from the memory card) with the head set?

On orange pay as you go you ca buy this phone for £39.00. Also you have to buy a memory stick for this phone as it only has 1mb of memory so that will put up the cost.

No! No camera, it is just a cute and cheap little prepaid phone with 65.000 colour screen and excellent mp3 player and battery life. And that for only €69.99!

I can't find manual in the internet for this fone :( I want to understandt it's SAR value.. If some one can help ? In http://www.my-onetouch.com/ has no manual for this model. If some one can give a link thanks in advance.
Also I want to ask the owners is the e801's signal best-of-all just like in other alcatel's models ?? Some opinions about that?
Thanks.

Be careful...

I saw this when flicking through an Argos magazine and was drawn to the on screen display (as pictured) however in reality it is actually nothing like this and looks much less sophisticated... I was willing to let this pass, until I actually used the phone for a couple of weeks...

I had a voicemail a while back, this has since been deleted but the voicemail icon still remains.

(This might just be my bad luck) but I followed the setup guide to the word and battery life is still poor, I end up charging it ever few days (I dont actually use it that often for calls).

The phone accepts (and comes with) a micro SD card, I thought it would have been cool to allow me to choose from my own custom backgrounds or mp3 ringtones... no luck (and the ones it comes with are god awful)

You know when someone is calling you but you dont wanna pick up? usually you would put it to silent... this phone doesnt have that, its either accept or reject.

When the phone is set to vibrate and the battery is low, it feels it is important enough to play the warning alarm as loud as possible. This rocks especially when in a lecture X(

This phone cannot handle messages split over two texts very well, it doesnt reattach them.

I've forgotten some other points but worst of all....

This phone can only store 25 texts in its inbox. Yet the sent items is apparently limitless! How much of a joke is that? Ooooh and every time you attempt to send a text and it fails, a new copy will be put into the 'Unsent' items box (again unlimited).

So yeah in conclusion, pretty stylish but a completely rubbish phone! Im going back to my ancient Z600

It does have a USB port - it a special kind of a port that is used at the same time for charging and listening to mucis. You get the special cables included in the package - the charger, usb cable as well as handsfree. The thing is that when you connect it with the computer you can only upload to the memory card - the phone cannot be accessed, at least not in this way.
So don't worry about not being able to put the mp3's on the phone- it has a usb port which is the same as the T-mobile smartphones sold whcih is also used for syncing, charging and listening to music.

It might be that there is no reception in the area where you live, go back to the shop and check with them there.
