Yes, headphones are included... and yes in some packages the memory card is included, ranging from 128 to 512 mb, depending on what network and in what store you buy it. BUT BEWARE some networks offer this phone WITHOUT memory card, but still a 256 mb one costs peanuts these days.

Cool Martin, happy you like it! This is really a great phone, a great deal for that money. Could you however do me a favour? Make some pictures of it in action? As I want to see what changes have been made since the concept model. Could you make images of it in stand by... with screen on and with keypad on? Please? Thank you very much ;-). Mail the images to un112@msn.com

Thanks for all the help and advice! I bought one of these phones - and here's what I think of it. I bought it from woolworths for 39.99 (bargain) but it didn't come with a memory card (!) checked the manual and it said, ragarding memory card 'If available' - so had to spend more money on memory card (oh well - there goes the bargain!). The phone is simple to navigate and works fine on an apple mac for transferring music via USB (no drivers needed), unfortunately, the mp3 player and phone seem quite seperate, which means you can't use your mp3's as ringtones - but having said that the sound quality of the player is very good (with 9(!) different equalizer settings). The phone has a great design ( similar I think to Sony Ericsson K510 and K750 ) and it feels comfortable to use, also the included headphones are not the worst I've ever heard - so all in all still a fantastic bargain.

Yes datacable is included, you upload the songs similar to a usb memory stick; you plug the phone on your pc... the pc recognises the phone (after drivers have been installed ofcourse) and then you can copy and paste the files you want.

Hi Gambit, please would you confirm one thing for me, will the production version of this phone have red keyboard lights? As you say your beta version has, but will the real one have that too? As originally the E100 Alcatel was planned to get that too, but now it has the much more common blue keyboard lights. So please confirm? Thanks Gambit, hope you like the phone.

Small update, the phone just became available in the UK on Virgin mobile for 49.99! For those people buying it have fun with it! Should be an eye catching phone compared to all the other brands! For questions about the phone or Alcatel in general feel free to contact me at: un112@msn.com.
