This phone has mini usb audio jack and have mini usb headset that goes with the package. You can always use "mini usb to standard headset jack" adaptor for this. This phone can support up to 2 gb micro sd card.

I have tried not to use the phone's mp3 and have only 1 to 2 three minutes call per day with only few text messaging and the battery last up to 5 days. I started doing that on Monday morning at 6 am and the phone died (battery totally flat) Friday night at about 7 pm.

I would like to reiterate that this phone does not support customization of ringtones so you cannot set your mp3 as ringtone or message alert tone.

This phone have usb port. There is an USB TO 35 mm jack adapter available in the market now. You can use that adapter in listening to the music from OT E801 to your stereo sound system.

@ Nelson
Does the phone have a USB (or mini or micro or something else) port? You said
---
To those who want to use standard headset for this phone, just buy a "usb to standard headset" adaptor. It's available for only USD 2.3.
---
When I use a headset my ears whistle afterwards so that's why I want to connect my stereo sound system to a 3.5 mm jack..... And of course you can't compare the quality of the loudspeaker of a phone to the one of a sound system

it is not true at all that most people are now using windows vista, most people still use windows xp, i work with western digital hard drives, and i'd say out of every 25 people 2 will be using windows vista

Erik, the very reason why other users complain (and there will still more complains later) because most people are now using windows vista. This phone is not compatible with windows vista so OT E801 users must change their OS into windows xp.
---------------------------------------------
Does the OT E801 only had this pc vista connection incompatibility problem or is this also applicable to other phones from other brand that has also this incompatibility with windows vista connection? Thanks for the reply.
(Though i could always resort to memory card reader which still works fine with me n plug the card back into the phone... which always works as a substitute.)

as this phone is recognized as a usb mass storage device (driverless usb storage) it should also work under windows vista - but I read something in pc magazine about there is general error (for the unlucky ones) with windows vista and usb storage. the phone is working with my mac.
you should also remember that usb connection had to activated from inside the phone menu!
otherwise the phone will just charge when connection to usb port
