Erik, the very reason why other users complain (and there will still more complains later) because most people are now using windows vista. This phone is not compatible with windows vista so OT E801 users must change their OS into windows xp.

Darkshuttle, are you sure? What brand of micro sd you are using.
If this phone can accept the popular brand sandisk then there's no reason why other brand cannot be accepted. You don't need card reader in transferring mp3s from your pc to this phone. There's a usb cable that goes with the package when you buy this phone.

Can any1 pls answer me... how come many had complain about this phone not being able to directly connect to the pc? How come i dont have any issues with my E801 about that, coz i bought this phone a year ago and when i plug it directly to the pc in the first place, the computer automatically recognized the phone as a USB Mass Storage device with no connection problems or whatsoever. How come others had an opposite issues with it? Thanks n enjoy your phone.

Not all micro SD cards can be accessed directly from the card slot. you have to use a card reader first if you want to use the mp3 player

To those who want to use standard headset for this phone, just buy a "usb to standard headset" adaptor. It's available for only USD 2.3.

Does it support a 2Gb card? Is an adapter for 3.5 mm jack is easy to find?
Thanks

The phone you show in the link was a concept model for the Alcatel E801/E805. in the end the phones were redesigned to look like they do now.

Sakura I am affraid that I have to refuse to advise you on buying a Nokia... This is the Alcatel section and I am an Alcatel endorser... so your best bet would be if you want a Nokia to go and have a look in the Nokia section... All I have to say is... buy one of the new Alcatels, you'd be surprised by how good they are (and how inexpensive).

I got this phone as a Student after losing my previous phone. It was the cheapest one in woolworths but its great. It rings people and it sends texts. What else do you need from a phone? The MP3 is an awesome bonus. A lot better than those incredibly annoying camera phones people lug around these days.
The only issue I have is that lack of a simple 'ring ring' ring tone, it only has a set of weird tunes to use.

I purchased this mobile about a year ago for £20 with a £512mB card. I have very good experience- I use the phone as a mp3 player when running and the sound is TERIFIC!! I would not use it to make phonecalls, the sound quality is bad and the phone looks low class. I also call to find where I left my normal mobile inside the flat. Unfortunately now headphones giving up on me. OVER ALL 5 STARS!! Did exactly what I needed
