The official maximum capacity for this model is 1 GB. I am using 1 GB sandisk micro sd in my unit and it shows all songs that I have loaded and it plays them all. Try to check you mp3s. You may have place them anywhere. Just put all your songs in the "mp3" folder in your memory card, and check if they are all in mp3 format (you may have loaded songs in wav format or other format, reset your phone or turn it off then after few minutes turn it on again then it should be working fine.

brixy, don't worry because if you buy this phone then you will not regret because you are having a cheap phone with basic functions (call and text) but is added with mp3 player. Problems/complaints posted have been answered by Knight Rider and me and we can gurantee to help you too. People who regret buying this are those who are expecting this phone to have features that expensive phone have like bluetooth, internet, etc. But just heed your hunch and ask yourself if you are going to spend your money for expensive phone or this cheap one with good mp3 player?

Well now you can tease them because you have a phone which does not fall apart every 5 seconds and it has an mp3 player and you did not pay 300$ for it. Sounds good right?

Great phone... great battery... great MP3-player... great... MY A*S!!! This phone is so bad, that when I gave it for repair and they changed it with a new one, the new had even more problems than the old! The "great" battery couldn't last longer than 12 hours and that's on stand-by! The sound is awful... I'ts suppoused that when you have your earphones on you don't hear the noise around you (or at least it's really quiet), but when I listened to music on this phone in the bus I was hearing other people's conversations better than the music... I'm thinking of sueing Alcatel for this rip-off... My advice: Get rid of this crapy phone!!! Bann it!!! :)

Rafi, just correct me if I understand you correctly. I understand that your unit does not charge. If this is the case, there may be problem with your charger. Try to charge your unit using a usb cable. Plug the other end to your pc and mini usb end to you phone then your phone should be charging. If your unit start charging then your charger is defective. But if in case your phone does not charge, there must be problem with your unit and not your charger.

I want to hack this mobile. Why Alcatel built a mp3 player that doesn't remember the last song played??
Moreover, you cannot organize songs in sub folders. Put this two facts together and get a extremely bad user interface.
I'll give a example: You put 1GB card and fulfill with mp3. ALL MIXED.... (bad) Suppose that you want to listen the music number 45. You must go song by song until you find that song. Definitely not good. If you turn off the music player to save battery, it forgets the last song!!! Then you must manually remember which song you listen last time and go there. Thats terrible! I've bought it having sure that this kind of obvious issue was not present.
It makes me think that who designed this mobile doesn't use it.

help_please, I don't understand why you have that problem because if you are using windows xp like me, there should be no problem about connecting your phone to your pc. Just check it again as you may have forgot to activate the USB connection in your phone. And if you connect the usb cable (that one that goes with the phone when you purchase it) to your pc and the other end to you phone, charging should start but your pc cannot detect it unless you press the left soft key (the menu button)then go to "Settings" then to "USB Connection" and press "Activate".

zedge.com may be referring to the other models like OT C701, elle no. 3, etc.but erroneously/unintentionally used OT E-801. Again, this is a simple phone with call & text function but just added with mp3 player (and of course calculator and alarm). You cannot download wallpaper for this.

moblie_unit, if that is your plan you can realize it. Just buy OT C825 headset and you can already use a standard headset for this. C825 headset has usb 2.0 on the other end and has 3.5 mm jack on the other end. And like what Knight Rider say, you also use OT E805 as it has 3.5 mm jack.

Every usb-->>jack converter should work... maybe you could try the Alcatel E805 headsetjack... that has an embedded 3.5 jack. That could work maybe?
