> In reply to keenen @ 2009-07-29 10:19 from P@cfno no... i cant read windows media audio files(.wma) . . . ill try to upload a wave file which MY ot-s853 can read or play, then give you a download link, of course you guys must download it and then load it to your mini sd or phone, then we'll see if your ot-s853 can read it.. if your phone can read or play it then im not alone! hahahaha... just wait for the download link.. > In reply to TTThunder @ 2009-08-01 06:11 from 2xBkYou really have to reset it but be sure to make back up of your data before resetting it. Bringing your unit to alcatel service center is also a good idea but still you should back up your data because alcatel will surely reload it with another firmware.

Hi,

Could anyone help advise?

When I turn on S853, it cannot detect the memory card.

(I used to have this problem when I tried to use 1GB card (microSD in miniSD adapter). I have to turn off, take the 1GB card out, put miniSD 512MB in, turn on, it will always be able to detect the memory card. Then if I reverse the process, it may (not 100%) be able to detect the 1GB now...)

This happens with 512MB miniSD card (which never happens before), I tried changing other cards, it still fails. Turning off and on many times still fails...

I am thinking about resetting to factory default, will it help? (I do not want to do this since I will lose the data in it.)

Or do I need to go to Alcatel repair center?

Or it just ran out of life? (I have used it for less than 2.5 years...)

Thank you very much,
Thee

> In reply to keenen @ 2009-07-17 05:47 from P@cfTry to reset your phone again then have your memory card virus scanned. Also, take out any items from your memory card that is not supported by the phone like .wav files, etc.
