there is one alcatel battery that can be used...the e801 battery...althoguh this is lower powered but it can still be useful...if still there is no battery, then it would be best to order online...that's how bad it is...
just try to look for any alcatel authorized dealers in your area...

We are going with Alcatel in encouraging people to use alcatel battery or any accessories that must be replaced. But of course, other brand battery may fit into your phone but it is dangerous; it is harmful to your phone. It may even become the cause of fire. There are lots of Alcatel accessories online so kindly visit their site like protel.de & wapzon.com, etc.

I am from Jakarta, Indonesia. There is no battery for my S-853, here. Any interchangable battery ( all brand ) for this ???

well i havent tested the three units stereo capabilities....but i have heard N73, way louder than s853 but the audio quality, s853 was better...but for rokr e8, i havent coz there was no friend of mine who has one...lol...maybe nelson and ivan can attest to the audio capabilities of s853 compared to N73 and moto rokr E8...guys can you???

well said nelson, in fact it is true...no other phone yet can outmatch the s853...3D effects and stereo surround is good...and while others offers the same, they are way too high priced...imagine buying 3 s853 for 1 N73 or rokr e8...thats how good it is...

People who said this is stupid phone are those who are used to transfer files via bluetooth. The only problem is they don't read this specs and even the reviews here before they buy the unit here. Nobody should blame alcatel for this as Alcatel has been telling us that the bluetooth for this is only for bt headset. Fully functioning bluetooth feature is already embedded in other models like OT C825, C701, V770, OT SPORTS, etc. Just remember this, so far, there's no mobile phone today that can equal the sound quality of this phone.

indeed i would embrade it...this unit is a nice one...telephony and texting is fine...gaming and music listening very good..

Is there realy nothing we can do about bluetooth? what's the website of alcatel, maybe they have some kind of firmware or something!!! i dont want to give up this phone because its quite cool but if this bluetooth issue is not resolved, im gonna have to trash it
