> In reply to AL @ 2009-10-31 19:37 from 2A3GHi AL:
The shop you are talking should be "Berlein". This is another authorized distributor by Alcatel and is also Alcatel's authorized repair center. The battery for this model is made to have 30 days life from the day it is fully charged with minimal use. When this is launched in the Philippine market in the second quarter this year, this is priced at almost 7,000 Php including 1 gb micro sd but the price is being downed to half now because this is older modcl now.

I bought this phone today for 3490 Philippine Peso.
Features that I like about this phone:
1. Very soft keypad (very good for heavy texting)
2. Its affordable.
3. It does have a basic functions of a phone without
spending a lot money.
// What i dont like about this phone its its screen is
only black, white and orange combination.
This is my fourth Alcatel phone. And im satisfied with
the quality and price.

Amazing phone. Cheap and sporty. This is the best in this price category. OLED display, accelerometer, very good ringing, video ringtones, mp4 ply support, very good battery life, rubber keypad, avarege camera performance. I always use high end phones, but this alcatel is perfect this low end category. One little bad thng. orange color is ugly

Normal standby time with the odd call and message sent should be around 10-12 days, 14 days and more are possible if you turn all the network functions (like network clock and cb messages) off.

Expect the OT800 and the Touch screen model to be released in the summer. I personally can not wait for these phones, they seem awesome!

Alcatel has launched their new range of colourmania phones, it is a range that focusses on low and midrange phones. There will be 3 models however that will add some cool features to attract the tech happy people. One full touchscreen model which is essentially an excellent mp3 and video player with phone function. One 2 megapixel clamshell with innovative outside screen that can be set up to show the latest news and weather feeds for easy access. And a smartphone-like phone with full html browser, egde, qwerty keypad and memory up to 4 gb. Alcatel is on the right track for sure... all with the famous low price of Alcatel.

Also, you guys could try to use http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ , but it's often inaccurate.
Alcatel continues to make lower-end products which are high-quality and with good designs...they seemed to have found their niche here. In these tough economic times I think they will do well :)
