Alcatel pushes Android 4.4 KitKat for Idol X+

Alcatel has been rather quiet regarding software updates for its phones. Now though, the Alcatel Idol X+ is getting an update to Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The company will push the over-the-air firmware update tomorrow, August 15, for all existing users of the phone running the latest Jelly Bean update.

In our extended review of the phone, we found out it has an amazing display, solid performance and an excellent camera. We mentioned the ageing software as one of the few shortcomings, but now with Android 4.4 KitKat the dual-SIM smartphone has one of its major downsides crossed out.

i have onetouch idol x and dont have update iam in egypt i want 4.4 kitkat for my mobile how i get it

Phone is good... I brought it on 8 Jan 2015 it came with 4.4.2 kit Kat... good display.. sleak.. fast performance.... but negative points 12gb user can have... camera looks like SD card slot... more thing my phone ask for o's update.....

After getting 4.2.2 update my idol x+ touchscreen wont work .. i think its a software issue .. ..what can I do?
