You're right dude. 4:3 aspect ratio based screen won't fill the complete screen even for apple's own 720p based TV shows, movies etc. which are actually 1280x720 videos. But still web browsing will be great on the iPad 2.
snake, 26 Apr 2011i jst want to ask why apple dnt have flash how we suppose to play videos, dnt u think if ipad d... moreThe reasons provided by Apple (whether one agrees or not) are:
1. Flash is a drain on the battery of mobile devices
2. It is not that good for multi-touch operation
3. Performance is not good on mobile devices
4. Reliability and security are not that good on mobile devices
With the above, Apple decided not to include Flash, sacrificing 100% web experience, for better performance, longer battery life and general reliability as well as a better user experience.
They compensated for it in certain ways with the Youtube App for example. Also, browsers such as Skyfire are able to detect flash videos and play it on iDevices. For some people, they do not like this and choose Android. For me, I have happily been using the iPhone since 2007, and recently the iPad, and hardly notice the loss. The beauty is, the choice is yours.
i jst want to ask why apple dnt have flash how we suppose to play videos, dnt u think if ipad dnt have flash it will be less function in term of surfing the web, they have to put some player to play videos online.
A 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio based screen like the Samsung's Galaxy Tab would've been better. This 4:3 aspect ratio based iPad's screen is difficult to hold with one hand.

Dear Mr Ajagbodudu, Apple no try to chop yo dolla.
A tablet is not meant to replace a proper computer. Think of it as a more focused device. It does maybe slightly less things, but it does does things very well, and is more portable.
If you are looking for more features, a netbook or laptop may be a better option. However, if your list of needs are met by a tablet, it is very very useful and awesome.
Apple without java application, how will it run such applications that will need java to work, could this be a function of the html browser
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2011Mr anonymous! I want to till you I bought already samsung galaksy tab and I have also iPad2 !!... moreGalaxy tab is not a tablet at all. Can't compare!
Get a brand new Galaxy tab 10.1 or 8.9
You will see the difference
Okay, so you're all complaining about the quality of the iPad2 camera but honestly if you want a camera then buy a point and shoot. iPad 2 is amazing full stop.
i want it for free!!
if you give to me for me, you won`t suck anymore! :D
I really want something that I can control my TV and audio system with. I read this article about a product called BitWise, has anyone heard of it? ... http://bit.ly/e9Lo0q
[deleted post]Also, just as something to think about. There was a lot of arguments between PS3 and XBox 360 fanboys as well and still there is till today.
However, a simple question, if you were a Halo fan, which console would you buy? Similarly, what if you were a Gran Turismo fan? Lastly, if you were a huge Mario fan, the whole PS3/Xbox360 argument becomes irrelevant.
The point is, specs is one thing, but content is also just as important. So yup, the App Store is also a very important factor in deciding which tablet to buy.
[deleted post]He was not reporting you for your opinion, but rather misplaced facts. The RAM is what most of the high end tablets even in Android are using. HDMI is available with an adapter, and video mirroring supports 1080 HD.
Only thing that maybe was acceptable was the camera statement, as this is below what competitors are offering.
Flash support is a 50:50 proposition, as yes, the feature is not available, but at the same time it is now being proven to carry tremendous costs as well by having it as a feature, security and performance wise.
Lastly, the real insult to tech geeks everywhere is you actually recommending Playbook over this. I could actually accept a Xoom or Galaxy Tab, but the Playbook? No wonder you were reported for trolling. Oh and I reported you as well.
