> In reply to Anonymous @ 2014-08-08 14:58 from TbBx - click to readYes. Agreed that internet connection is not required for GPS.

I feel it is removed because of the following reasons:
1. Nearly all map apps require constant internet connection for it to work. Only a few map support offline map navigation.. These apps will be broken when wifi is interrupted.. leading to customer unhappiness.
2. Finding your location with GPS alone takes alot of time.. secs to mins to pinpoint your location. Without cellular towers / wifi who collect the information beforehand (A-GPS) its slow on lockon.. and would affect app responsiveness.

So i feel Apple remove it completely. Its like them to do such things.

- Yes. you only need data plan to download the map information. but if you already have the map data (like garmin devices) you can get GPS data without any internet connection.

You seriously thought a device that isn't connected to anything could get GPS information? Haha.

Tether your WiFi only iPad to your phone. Drive somewhere. Open Maps on the iPad and tell me if it can't find you.

You're really a troll.

> In reply to iphone die Hard fan @ 2014-07-24 15:50 from Np}} - click to read12" is way too big for a tablet.

Holding the Note Pro tablet for a while is very uncomfortable. Just after a few minutes.

I don't think Apple will have a 12" tablet at all. It will be a 12" Macbook Air.

16:9 is wide and allows for better multi window mmultitasking. In the 12" pro line you can have up to 4 windows split screen at the same time.

> In reply to Neutral @ 2014-07-24 01:16 from PDTc - click to read9.7" is perfect for people who want that size. Some want 7". Some 8". Some 10.*" whatever. It is a personal choice.

And yes. The 10.5" Tab S is imperfect. It lags like crazy, it overheats and the plastic back warps.

I just do not like anything in 16:9 or 16:10 formfactor in a tablet. Good for video and nothing more.

4:3 on tablet is better.

> In reply to Neutral @ 2014-07-24 01:16 from PDTc - click to readI have used iPad 2 & 4 but now using iPad air which without doubt has played a pivot role of familiarizing myself to 9.7 which is perfect if you come from iPad background like me. I overheard that Apple is gonna release 12 inches which I'm not interested to, the same as 5.5 iphone. Keep it small says, the founder of Apple
