A... moreYour perception needs to change a little with regards to this..
The bandwidth between the processor and the ram, and the super fast speed of the storage (these are not budget parts), is more than enough.
To reframe, lets take our view away from Apple for a moment.
Back when linux and windows were running on boxes with between 128mb of ram and 512mb, linux could run noticably better with around a quarter the memory. (On the same hardware).
It was to do with how 'tight' the respective OSs were.
Netbooks with 1gb were painfully slow on windows (1.5Gb was the magic minimum number)
The same netbook with half a Gb (512Mb) would run linux brilliantly.
Android phones, having for a long time now, mostly more than 512Mb of ram, started caching large amounts of software into ram, just in case the user might want to fire something up...
So when we started getting 2Gb ram phones it would 'look like' 1.8Gb was being used.
Truth is a phone OS should only need be a couple of hundred megabytes.
Now, once we get past a minimum required amount, and have more than enough for any apps that we choose to run, we have enough ram. More ram will not make the device faster.
Heavy users who multitask a lot between a few large apps might see a benefit of 3Gb over 2Gb (a one-two second less 'pause' when switching is a best case scenario of benefit gained).
Now, my android phone has four cores @>2ghz, and 2Gb of ram. It has NEVER filled that ram (and I am a power user). Yet the phone lags a lot, and I am often waiting a second here and a half second there whilst it does basic things.
This is due to an unoptimised front end/graphical user interface (GUI).
Sure the larger 12.9" ipad has 4Gb of ram. For 5.6 million pixels of screen real estate it might need some extra ram above 2Gb.
Apple, with a very tight OS, having started to make 2Gb the 'go to' amount... will be very happy for a long time. 2Gb of ram devices will have quite 'long legs' with regards to updates.
2Gb of high speed ram on a wide bus loading from fast storage for a software/hardware optimised platform ; is fine.
There is no comparison (perhaps consoles from last generation and prior)..
Now a 6Gb phone? Hahahaha
You couldn't make me buy such an unthought out piece of crud.
But, people who buy based on synthetic benchmarks and who want spec sheet numbers bragging rights... go right ahead.
When some software finally comes out that can make use of this setup, it will be too outdated to be practical.
Sure some rare use scenarios/some proffesionals might have a need, but these are exceptions... so lets keep our comments relevant to the people who are here to learn!

Whilst Apple has, at times, released new iOS that has worked poorly on older devices (too many optimisations for newer chipsets),.. later releases have corrected this.
Now they activate certain packages depending on the hardware that is being used.
Sure a slight decrease might happen on some devices three or four years after release, but the added features far outweigh the slight 'pause', whilst memory catches up.
(You know things like cut and paste and rudimentary multitasking that earlier iOS didn't have..)
The fact is Apple give their devices years of updates and security fixes, and make sure they work with all models (again, I reiterate, there has been a couple of occaisions where a later update was required to restore 'lost performance' on older chipsets).
The only reason this has become topic, mostly by platform loyalists to android, is that android 4.4 was made to restore performance to low end devices (it changed the runtimes enough that less resources were being pilfered, and focused on low memory devices; I had an old Galaxy S with 384mb(effective) ram that gained heaps of performance when 4.4 hit).
iOS has been adding so much with recent releases, and the long time support they give, and the option to upgrade if users want the new features- is brilliant.
I have had a Galaxy Note Edge for twenty months, was in one of the first territories it was released- still waiting for Marshmallow! (And security fixes).
Sure Android users can tell me to buy Nexus (googles own branded parts designed around their vanilla OS)for more immediate rollouts (or motorola or HTC etc),.. or I can stick with the Apple ecosystem where I get highly optimised hardware and software. (Windows phone used to run rings around Android for battery efficiency etc)
Truth is Android is a jack of all trades device. If so much of my tech support callouts didn't require a windows platform, I could no doubt use my android phone for everything (something apple and winphone not consistantly help me with).
As it is, my productivity (as do many others) goes vastly up in an Apple ecosystem.
iOS instancing all software the way it does, doesn't make it easy to open up the filesystem or make 'multiuser'.. and for many people; this ease of use is a great strength.
Sure techies get more out of android, or can.. but they shouldn't go around, based on spec sheets, bash Apple.
Just like a 1Terabyte drive might come in varying speeds, the average 'spec sheets' will just list capacity.
The numbers that truly matter are often never listed.
Apple is the same.
I would much rather 2Gb of high speed memory access than 4Gb of 'shared with the video card' small bus and slow spped types.
However, to the layman, 4Gb sounds 'better' than 2Gb.
In the case I just suggested the 2Gb would run rings around the slow ass 4Gb and 'extra memory' can only help speed things up if you are out of memory.
Something phones have been far from doing for yonks.
In fact android just fills all the memory with programs a user might load just in case... a way of speeding things up(potentially).
The problem is the slow memory used in budget devices can take a long time to clear and load new programs/libraries into. Especially when paired with slow speed storage.
Apple doesn't try to go toe to toe with spec sheet numbers because they alway use the best parts for the function needed.
Sure my processor in my ipad is only dual core. With six video cores, each with two units, each with 32 odd 'shaders'. Which, iOS can use to do a lot of cool stuff, and is written to utilise.
Android being a great big collection of software than can run on a huge variety of hardware configs is not going to utilise such raw grunt very effectively.
To the user? Shorter battery life, hotter unit, likely to slow down under load etc etc.
But lets all brag about synthetic benchmark results, and convince our family to buy the cheapest knockoffs they can, cause you know, owning a piece of tech for greater than a year or two is ethical and kind to our planet....

Your statement holds true for cheap parts.
People who buy tech based on *spec sheets* often miss critical info.
Upscaling chips and the 'software' side of things makes a huge difference.
OS X (the basis for iOS) was designed to handle everything like an infinitely zoomable pdf. It is built/designed to do so- Jobs was an ardent caligrapher, and Apple always owned desktop publishing because of this (true type / what you see is what you get).
A higher resolution screen offers more points that can be half toned or estimated/averaged based off source- if the chips driving the display/software are intelligent enough, vast improvements can be made.
Does an upscaling player look better on a standard res display, or one that can realise more of the 'improvement'?
Whilst I am no advocater for 4K (I prefer high contrast accurate colour at a usable pixels per inch- and have no issue with 1280x720 on a 100" screen... I do truly appreciate my note 4, and ipad pro (12.9") as brilliant screens.
Sure I am a photography enthusiast- having 5.6million pixels on an A4 sized screen is freaking awesome.
Sure I would have preferred true tone, but I bought before the 9.7" was announced...

I have found twenty or so drawing apps that reject palm input very well.
Still looking for one that allows the hand to smudge whilst the pencil draws (paper by 53 can do this for their own stylus)..
I DO RECOMMEND you turn OFF multifinger gestures in the settings for the ipad (as do most of the art programs); otherwise issues like what you have been expieriencing can happen.

prashik, 07 Jul 2016i luv uI'm pretty sure I want the iPad pro 9.7 not the 12.9 one because I don't have a specific reason to get the bigger one. besides, the smaller one has a better camera, better portability, and works just as well.
i have issues in using ipad pro 9.7 stylus pen. It is recognizing my hand also as dots while i am writing. So i cant save the file as it is not clear and having dots in the sheet. Contacted Apple Customer care for n number of times but there is no proper response from apple side. Apple Stylus pen is "Waste of money". Even Samsung galaxy note 3 works really really good with Stylus even-though android is open source . But in Apple it is not working...
