Fair enough, enjo... moreI am not biased. All my points regarding multi-tasking are founded. I cannot afford the Storm. I don't know how much it's going to cost, but I already have the iPhone. I just feel duped.
Apologies for ranting here, but I wanted to share my dismay, if there was someone like me who's in the process of buying a phone like this, coming from a background where PUSH Technology is a necessity, not a luxury.
Nothing beats the iPhone for music, photos, media viewing, and third party apps. It blows everything else out of the water. But it's no multi-tasking device, IMHO.

Fair enough, enjoy the Storm when it is released.

I guess this phone really is THE phone that does multi-task for SMS. I just wish that it can connect and simultaneously chat with people on Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, Facebook, while I route something on Google Maps, all at the same time, and is also capable of synchronizing with my Google Calendar over the air.
All of those, while I have a game paused running in the background, and the browser pointed to my favorite news website, while I am typing an email to several of my clients.
While I am playing WMA/MP3/AAC encoded music.
That, for me, is multi-tasking. Something I was doing back with my ugly BlackBerry Curve. It was ugly, but the battery life was great, and it did ALL THAT.
I guess, it's my bad, I was spoiled. :(
Is that a lot too much to ask? I mean, the iPhone is so beautiful, and it does have Safari (best browsing experience so far, as long as you don't browse more than three web pages at once), but multi-taskin on it is a joke.
You're considering the ALARM function a part of the multi-tasking? Come on man, then that makes the Nokia 1100 a multi-tasking phone as well?
you mean a bad whine...lol.
people are buying this because of the name brand and influences from their peers.
I was wondering why are you guys posting negetive opinions and complains about the IPHONE instead go to the phone you love and say how wonderfull it is over there ????

apple copied the first touchscreen... moreApple copied the touchscreen, from other phone manufacturers did they?
"The Apple Newton, or simply Newton, is the iPhone's predecessor and was an early line of personal digital assistants developed and marketed by Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) First developed in 1992, it was sold from 1993 to 1998."
So which phone prior to 1992 did they copy?
Palm didn't exist, HTC didn't exist.
But don't let the facts get in the way of a good whine.
i am sure nokia, samsung, htc, will build better touchscreens.
if they will only be able to put inside the Apple software....
SE XPERIA X1 is a much better phone than the Iphone!!!
I used both phones now and overall the X1 is a much better phone.
It's about time that the Iphone hype stops, because there are much better new phones than the Iphone.

it is a competition.
Anonymous, 30 Oct 2008This are only the speculations, apple have allready developed an new IPHONE way beyond all othe... morethen this (the new iphone) i got to see.
As i stated before....missing features + upgraded camera with a powerful flash + the touchscreen and features it already has = one powerhouse device.
if that equation is included in the next iphone, i may consider getting another one. ( i do have the iphone 3g but got tired of it so i bought an n95 because i was after the conveniency of an all-around device: camera, internet, and phone.

the nokia tube will cripple the iphone. the google phone (G1) already did.

This means that the apple copied them...and they just enhanced the interface to make it finger touch, instead of the stylus pen.
so dont be saying that other phones are copying the iphone.

MMS is useless, send a VGA photo, wow, I'd rather send a 2 megapixel photo by email, it costs less too and at least the person receiving it can print it.
The new Google earth app is pretty cool, the street view is good, just tilt the iPhone.
2.2 should be good when this function is incorporated into the maps.
Which other phones do that?
Others can try to copy the look but can't copy what it does.
