just got hold of my new iPhone 3gs, it is quite impressive... though the battery would be one thing you'll worry about, never leave your charger behind, esp. when you're fun of browsing the net or playing with its apps.. so far so good!!! i like the response when it comes to touching the screen, it senses electricity from your skin rather than other touch screens that needs hard pressing just to get it done.. some responds poorly when touched..

Samsung i900 Omnia

There are very bad in touch screen.
I can't wait to try out the new HTC HD2

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-11-21 15:46 from wHrqI leave them on all the time, then again I make sure I have means available to charge my phone, it goes back 18 years to my first phone which had NiCad batteries and wouldn't last for more than a few hours without a $600 car kit to charge it.
If you're too tight to buy a car charger, spare USB cable, spare battery or one of the thousands of things available with iPod/iPhone docks then buy something else and quit whining.

Like i saw an earlier post here stating that 3g/wlan and other features be turned off to save battery.
Aren't they supposed to be used? What the hell did they put those for?

Stop comparing to symbian because even if it looks ugly and has very few decent games, regarding tech its miles ahead of iphone and does much more with a weaker cpu.
Iphone os is an unoptimised powerhog youtube.com/watch?v=85idbPSp14A

As is calling e-books, "apps".
You're probably not aware of the conditions of a medical student/doctor, even 8 hours of batt won't do!
Iphone has great potential but it's just not there yet.
Live with it!

821 fps vs 70 fps, no wonder Nokia killed n-gage off it was such a massive fail!

Keep living in your closed in box, blind to the possibilities Apple brings with the iPhone.
It's like trying to explain colour to people who live in a world of black and white.

http://www.glbenchmark.com/res...mark=glpro11
if you notice the iPhone 3GS is number one, to find the N97 and 5800 you'll have to go back a few pages, they only manage around 70 fps."
That's because 5800 and n97 are not made for gaming and have a much higher resolution than iPhone.
I agree iPhone is an excelent gaming device, but the battery doesn't even last a day... remember why it's supposed to be a "MOBILE" phone?
Q: Who buys a phone to play 3D games??
(A: someone who has a mac :))))
As for auto adjusting video quality, that proves again how low and uncontrllable video quality on iPhone actually is.
Youtube also chooses the quality depending on your bandwidth so that means 2x lower quality than the original video.

> In reply to N @ 2009-11-21 06:40 from Iaa7Must agree, it doesn't do anything else but music and gaming, even here with al the fanboys it scores only a mediocre "7".
But if you're under 25 or your inner child has not died yet, I totally recommend it, the gaming on this device is something yet unseen on mobiles, but unfortunately it stops here.
