So how's your "pink" camera?
Be careful installing the update, apparently it wipes your whole phone.

I think I'll watch a photo slideshow while listening to some music on my iPhone, meanwhile the Mail App will be syncing with exchange.
I like the way the iPhone multitasks.

What was amplified in my previous post was my personal experience and my psychiatry. Wonder whether my faculties failed me to form a sound judgement in the first place. Nevertheless,I still stand by what I avowed. An addition to my first comment, I-Phone video play back is as good as Omnia HD. S.Sri

> In reply to K @ 2009-12-10 14:28 from MfxM - click to readI respect your opinion K, but I have to say that advertising isn't the imopetus for the iPhones huge sales. Never before has a phone so seemlesly integrated office functions and internet fetaures like the iPhone has. Example; I go to meet a client and enter their addrtess into the phone book (which wirelessly synchs with my mobile me). I Have the London tube map on the iphone so get to the destination easily. I have google maps so can find the clients office easily and what's more I have the google street level that shows me that my clients office is right next to a grocery store about 100 yards up from the station. So the phone almost makes me feel as though I have been to my prospective client already and takes the stress out of going to meetings. Another client calls me to rearrange an appointment, I put them on loud speaking and re-schedule the appointment which updates my desktop over the cloud... It is impressive. Occassionally the iPhone drops calls, but that's my only gripe.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-10 07:55 from FJTg - click to readI am not bashing the iphone outright, it is a nice phone, it works and that is why I got it. I live with the inconveniences just fine. I just put in my 2 cents to say that it is not perfect or flawless like many other products in this world; in short,… it’s not the best thing since sliced bread like so many claim. So lighten up! As far as sound goes I do not care what any study says, I judge by what I hear with my equipment in my ears! My earphone buds have a very wide range and maybe the iphone cannot reach some of them with certain types of music with PRESET EQ settings. Just give me a customable EQ and I am happy. You may like Pepsi but I like Coca Cola! As for FM where do you get off saying that wanting my local news is lame! You have a lot of nerve, and why would I use data at a cost to listen to local radio on the internet! That is not smart now is it? In addition, who is to judge where the best news is? That is personal taste and you should respect other people’s tastes, they should not be up for discussion, learn to agree to disagree. As far as the phone call quality, Rogers cannot figure it out for all three of us that have the same issue. They send us to Apple, they do not know either, and they send us back to the carrier. So they keep throwing the ball back and forth. And Dude; get a life you obviously need one.

As you might see from my previous posts I aint an iPhone basher, im actually very pro iPhone even though I dont own one. But I do have to agree that Apple have used some excellent advertising techniques, and it has been heavily advertised, hence its popularity. Brands like HTC and Samsung dont advertise their products as heavily as Apple do, hence less sales of their phones. Also when you see one person with an iPhone who says its cool, others will go out and get one, its like a chain reaction. So I have to say one of the fundamental reasons for iPhones popularity stems from its excessive advertising. But its a good phone as well, so I wont take that away.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-10 12:00 from 4BeM - click to readIf anyone was remotely interested in getting a phone based on the quality of the camera, I'd strongly advise against the HD2.
Just because it says 5 megapixel doesn't mean it delivers decent pictures.
HTC cameraphones are like cheap chinese digital cameras, all show and no go.

However, HTC is making a mark, and devices like its HTC HD2 can make iphone users rethink their next purchase. There is so much more flexibility and options to creating different homescreens and themes with the HD2. Not to mention the incredible 5 mpx camera and 480x800 screen resolution. Could be a toss up here as which device is better.

Please read the iphone review. The iphone's audio reproduction is the closest thing to perfection as it can get. And not amount of tweaking on any other devices can beat it.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-10 08:58 from nxNX - click to readOh well, to each his own. But know that smartphones are not ideal for photography, and mostly not ideal for watching movies. Personally, I refuse to watch any movie on any phone. I didn't buy my 55 inch LED HDTV 1080P so I can watch movie or tv shows on a phone. That's just ridiculous. A smartphone is ideally used to make phone calls, do some quick browsing on the web, check emails, some games, music with headsets and sms. Anyone who buys a smartphone mainly to use as a camera or a tv set is insane.

> In reply to Anonymous @ from HHHH - click to readI do agree with you to an extent. The I-Phone 3 GS is the best out there when it comes to the touch screen factor and applications. Any comparison with other phones, in these areas, will only be an affront to the I-Phone 3 GS. However when it comes to music(after adjusting the "db"), photography and watching videos, Samsung I 8910 HD will wallop all others, hands down. I do own these two beauties. In fact I owned all the Nokia N series phones, bar N 97 & N 900. I even had E- 71 & 72, Sony Ericson Xperia & htc touch. With all due respects to Nokia & Sony Ericson, they have to revamp & regroup to regain their past glory. As it is, in my humble opinion, I-Phone and Samsung (selected models) are the best out there, at present. It is only my opinion and there is absolutely no need for any to go into an overdrive. > In reply to therock @ 2009-12-10 04:29 from k7t{ - click to readOh please. I had the N95 before the iphone as well. It took good pictures, but not as good as digital cameras do. It does not even have a xenon flash. Hey, if you are a person who is picky with picture quality, you will not mind to bring with you a heavy and bulky dslr camera wherever you go. Now, if you only want to take pictures just for fun, even the iphone is enough. Go to flicker and facebook. Most of the uploaded photos there are taken from iphones. Want me to refer you to an article that states that the iphone is the phone that uploads most photos on social networks. They look just fine for that purpose.

> In reply to Mitch @ 2009-12-10 02:32 from qakZ - click to readIf you find me repetitive and tiring, I also find the same posts from iphone haters repetitive and tiring, but you guys keep on coming back. And why do you need my name? You obviously know me from my location id. What next? My driver's license? lol. Signal issues are on the carrier side, not the iphone. The iphone has the best audio reproduction according to tests conducted for that purpose, and not by anyone's biased unsupported opinion like yours. If you know how to organize your icons on your iphone, then why are you complaining. You have 16 apps on one page. That is already a lot. How many widgets or apps can an htc hd have on
one screen? That clock icon is an application icon for timer, alarm, world clock and stop watch. The time is always on the top of the screen. As for the weather app icon, it's practical for battery power to just tap the weather app if you want to know the temperature, rather than have the weather always active. It does not make sense. Your excuse for fm is lame. You get better news on the internet than on fm radio. You have more control on what news you want to know about on the internet, while on the radio, your stuck with whatever they have to say and you have to wait whenever they do a newscast. It's more instantaneous to just go to the web and get the news you want.
