http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smartphone
The iPhone easily fills the criteria, unless you are one of those who thinks that things like having a kickstand are important to smartphone functionality.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-08 05:19 from vab6 - click to readlol...trust me those people do care for a great camera on their smartphone.
The e series line-up has the carl zeiss optic lenses which provide better pics.
As far as great cameras on smartphones, i am refering to the n-series line up which has 5 mp and above.
When I go out in public during the night i just use my n95 or 5800 xm to take quick pics, while my friends ( who are iphone users) would have to bust out separate digital cameras.

Quote from Nick re the 65k HTC HD2:-
"using the 65k argument is a weak one.
side by side, you'd take HTC's 800x480 capacitive touch screens anyday
320x480 doesn't cut it anymore"
I had 65k in 2002 (incidentally when Nokia was introducing 4k screens) and Nick seems to think that 65k is still somehow acceptable, things have changed a lot in seven years.

You need to look at what is being replied to sometimes.

Hey does the HD2 camera still take pink photo's?
You probably don't notice on that 16bit colour screen.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-08 22:07 from pvZG - click to readList of faults? What faults. You like to call it faults just because it does not suit your taste. It's usually the others who initiate the attacks towards the iphone. Iphone users simply react.
Before I had the iphone, I had the Treo, the n95, htc diamond, viewty. Those are smartphones, so I know how smartphones work, and I can say that the iphone does it better.
Posting silly lists is not really what a smart person does for fun. That is what a hater does :) Pathetic huh?!
If you're smart, you wouldn't call the iphone a dead phone or a dead brand. It outsold all other smartphones in its category in the last quarter. So what does that make Nokia, Htc, Samsung, Palm, etc? More dead than dead? Lol.
Nope you're not laughing. You're actually upset of the iphone's success. And that is why you're here, so you could express your anger and hate for the iphone because it outsold your favorite device or brand :)

65k does not allow range of contrast available with 16 million colours which is what produces it's vibrancy.
Side by side 65k looks washed out and dull compared to 16 million colours.
There's a reason computer screens go above 16bit in settings.

Most phones are still under this resolution.
It makes it easier to use with fingers as text and links are still large enough to see clearly.
My Sharp GX10 in 2002 had a 65k screen, 65k just hasn't cut it since 2004 and 264k screens came out or 2005 when 16 million colour screens were introduced.
65k colour is ok for people who buy their art at Walmart.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-08 22:07 from pvZG - click to readWell I was reading the latest issue of Business Smartphone Kickstand Review and there were quite a few comments on the N900 kickstand, that this essential piece of smartphone equipment seemed rather flimsy and poorly implemented.
It is believed that, due to this kickstand, the world is headed for another recession as business people will have to make do with an inferior kickstand.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-08 21:54 from FJT9 - click to readA feature list that contains all the faults of the iPhone that's repeatedly posted with the same link, looks more like the work of a single individual that got fed up with you guys trolling on various forums.
Yeah, if you never had a smartphone, it may look hard to imagine... if you come from a smartphone TO iPhone you're more like "WTF? was I not supposed to get this for 1000$???"
So no, I post that list just for fun's sake and to see how a brighter one - barely met one here - tries to disprove something... anything.
So in the end seeing you soldier boys defending a dead phone and a dead brand - because only a dead brand advertises it's sales - gives me almost daly a good laugh.
So please, go on...
