Nokia just wants a cross licensing agreement be... moreDude I don't know what patents you can imagine nokia would want from a company with no experience in telecom, but if you think it's mulitouch, you should know nokia has it on both capacitative and resistive.
As for qualcom, what do you imagine UTMS = 1 patent, GSM = 1 patent, tbc.
No, all theese technologies have multiple ones, of wich many are held by nokia since they are (one of)the oldest member in the game.
The number of infringments is 10 and I really don't care how many/wich those are since sueing an american company on american soil requires some well fonded arguments. "Corporations don't-just-go-to-trials"
It's understandable apple can't make it's own phones, but not even their own firmware?!?
At least they stole from the very-best;)
Anonymous, 22 Oct 2009LOL, dude, you really don't get it, the chip doesn't do anything without the [code]!

Nokia just wants a cross licensing agreement because they want access to some of Apples patents, I thought America was the place of lawsuits.

/>no multitask
no code, no use.
Look what the back of iphone says, "designed in california" , do design companies write code?
Odd how apple shops run on microsoft technology isn't it?

Nokia must be really getting desperate, I told you they were going down.

We should add
-no wifi
-no gsm
-no utms
Isn't that right? so what we've got here is an iPod. known for it's popularity with kids:

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2009why do you need multitasking? why not jailbreak it?would it be able to multitask when we do the jail breking???

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2009Well the videos on the GSMArena 5800 reveiw are in the format that the 5800 shot them in with ... moreWhat are you talking about? closed? no, mov. is closed.
MP4 is just a container, any desired codec (for encoding that is) may be used.
MP4 was just a marketing scheme as the real follower of mp3 is AAC. It has nothing to do with mpeg either.
So no, noone actually uses mp4 with the codecs it was designed with, but apple.
If this is 3G phone, wht secondary camera is not there. what about the experience of video calling after having 3G connection from operator at high premium.
Iphone is great multimedia. Nokia Eseries are great to for business. Anyway both are top rated in the editor's top 10 mobile devices by cnet. http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/0,139102093,1,00.htm thanks

So what's Nokia doing using Apple's supposedly 'closed' format to shoot video with?
More misinformation, something you seem to want to excel at.
Omnia HD is the BEST choice! Im sell iphone and buy OMNIA and now, i am happy. Symbian is now open source and many people made custom appz , roms etc... Apple os is monopolistic. No reason for me to trust for next products, never!

Either way this encoding methods are quite rare because of the unefficient compression and large size; flash is atually the most preffered www format to date.
As for multitab you are right, YES, IT IS THERE, my bad.
Anonymous, 22 Oct 2009yes, nokia, made for people who know their business, iphone, made for sheep.
the fact that ... moreTake as an example, in the 5800 review on this site there are some sample video's in MP4 format, the iPhone opens them, plays them and when you tap 'done' in QuickTime you go back to the review in the spot you left off.
Now you obviously have no idea how the Safari browser on the iPhone works, so I'll tell you again; in the bottom right corner there is an icon which shows how many seperate sites you have open, tapping on it brings up those sites so you can jump between them I.e. tabbed browsing, in each of those sites you can go back to the pages you were at before.
For someone with a BIG opinion you sure don't know much.
Anonymous, 22 Oct 2009no, nokia is made for kids. most kids use nokia and not iphone.Truth is mostly kids buy it and that's why noone ever complains about missing features. There you go:

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2009no, nokia is made for kids. most kids use nokia and not iphone. When you say nokia you say multiple devices, while iPhone is only one.
I wouldn't let my kid play with a phone like iPhone that has a SAR of 1.4 eiter.
iTunes is pretty stable on windows, some small stability issues here and there, but it works just fine.
