iPhone is the phone everyone wants. I use a 2G iPhone with 1.1.4 OS, It is so dear to me. I love it. I will buy a new 3GS soon and will keep the 2G as the only phone I realy used and loved. IT is the Rolls Royce of all Mobile phones.

Nice phone but very expensive here in the Philippines
16gb costs for $820 and the 32gb is for $890!
Globe Telecom will be the one selling iPhones to the Filipinos starting July 31 2009, but reservations will be accommodated on July 15 2009.

Expensive but definitely its worth the price
Im excited to grab one!

Optus MMS Update:

Over a week ago I put a message on here advising people about the MMS problem Optus iPhone holders are having in recieving MMS messages but showing the senders mobile number and not their name.

Update: As from today my recieved MMS messages now show my contacts name and not their mobile number.

Woo hoo ;-)

Cheers

Craig

Once again the guy was looking for away to make a choice and not hear you bash phones neither of you probaly never owned. It's cool to try and bash nokia all you won't which still rules the market but to make up pathetic claims that they copied apple is ridiculous. Nokia first with 16g and first with 32g of memory and adaptable to expand memory, which iPhone can't do. Apple captive touch while nokia resistive so where is the copying. Each phone design there phone with different philosophy and with that different targets of customers, but still it's your choice on what you want. However the iPhone is not as fast as these folks are stating in it has flaws like All phones. Don't believe the hype it's your investment

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-07-08 04:06 from R5yC - click to readSo tired of people quoting garbage like "our brain only process 30fps"

Sorry to break to those that stick to that line of nonsense, but our brains visually process a couple of hundred frames a second. 24-30 fps stands out because anything lower than that 'jerks noticeably'. Once you are past 100fps your brain notices 'smoother' flow and 'quicker' responses. 24 & 30 is an old movie standby leftover from way before electronics.
sigh...

> In reply to mick k @ 2009-07-09 04:40 from PBhv - click to readDo Apple get the recognition they deserve for releasing a new model with exactly the same dimensions as the previous one?

Think of the cost and environmental savings of accessory manufacturers not having to change anything.

All most of you seem to do is whine about it looking the same.

Once again Apple is a leader not a follower.

> In reply to Rudeboi @ 2009-07-08 22:55 from kgSv - click to readAfter using an iPhone 3G for a year I picked up a 5800 yesterday to try it out, I found the touchscreen interface annoying and frustrating to use in comparison to the iPhone.

It's all about the usability, the iPhone is easily the most user friendly smartphone available, a lot if smartphones that were around for years may have had all these "features" but no-one but hardcore geeks ever made use of them.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-07-08 22:13 from N7$x - click to readI hope my views don't stop you from purchasing either phone but I have use both nokia and apple and it basically boils down to what you are looking for in a highend device. I believe that nokia gives you more freedom and options as to what you can do with the device as compared to apple and that is why I'm going back to nokia. However, you not want to do or use all the extra features nokia has to offer. If I was you I would sit back and consider what I'm going to do or shall I say use this device for. Good luck with that 

My contract is due for an upgrade and I was just looking around at some of the phones on offer. Well it eventually comes down to choosing an iPhone or N97. I have been on the iPhone page as well as this page, trying to find comments/opinions by the users of the actual phones in order for myself to decide on which phone to get.

After reading some of the comments made by users of these phones, I am completely put off both these phones. I find it amazing how people react over something so trivial like a cell phone. I know many people and cell phone stores who use this site to help customers research phones before actually buying them. The iPhone comment page as well as the N97 page has become the laughing stock of the net.

The Admin of this site should seriously consider reviewing all comments before they are posted up in the forums or anywhere on this site. People shouldnt be shot down for deciding to purchase something simple as a phone.
