Mic... moreI don't understand this 'MicroSIM card support only'. Are they trying to create a new standard for SIM cards. But seriously is Apple really capable of forcing a standard??? I mean of course most carriers will throw MicroSIM cards to potential iPhone buyers but what if Nokia still use the usual SIM for their phones??? Apple sells its phones mostly locked to a particular carrier whereas Nokia sell unlocked phones.
Moral of story : Nokia is more likely to create a new standard for mobile phones.
P.S. What was Apple guys thinking?
According to GSMArena
Hardware design is prone to reception issues
MicroSIM card support only
No Flash support in the web browser
No true multitasking for all applications
FaceTime video calls work only over Wi-Fi
No file transfer over Bluetooth or USB Mass Storage mode
No hardware shutter key for the camera
No FM radio
No stereo speakers
No microSD card slot
No smart dialing
Too dependent on iTunes for loading multimedia content
Poor loudspeaker performance
4th generation phone??? WTF Apple!!!
Regarding the Iphone 4. Its an amazing hset and I've not had this so called signal problem.
It beats any handset hands down, mine works fine.
Most of the people moaning about the Iphone4 don't even have the Iphone4 so why are they making comments on here and coming on here trying to argue with other for?
Its down to jealousy because they want one.
Don't like it hand it back and shut up.
!GHRZ CPU? Hard to overlock an iPhone? Then buy NOkia N900. People have overlocked N900 phones to 1.3 ghrz and even to a 1.7 ghrz. That's right 1.3 and 1.7 ghrz. Does your iPhone fell like the most powerful phone now? Overlocked N900 1.7GHRZ!!!!!!
how much did apple paid u to tell a lie? haha anyway as steve said before"relax retire, have a vacation, enjoy your family, its JUST a PHONE dont make a big deal out of it"..
Troy, 04 Jul 2010I'm lovin the iphone 4 everyday, It has to be the best h/set ever made. People who are not ... moretroy i had a 32gb for one week you say it is the ultimate phone .no i do not think so it is so boring it has good screen and all that but it ,is so basic and simple you could hand it to a caveman and he would be able to use it ..if you were really a tech head you would have a android handset and not be another of the brainwashed millions...do what you want not steve jobs ...and the walled garden...Apple.
There is so much hate for this phone on here it is ridiculous! People saying Nokia/Sony Ericsson sort out their problems!? I work for a company selling phones and we have to send people's phones away for repair when they go faulty.....we get about 7/8 Sony Ericssons and a similar number of Nokias back EVERY day! we virtually never have iPhones unless people have dropped them and the screen has shattered!
People have been saying that HTC are the kings of innovation and that iphone4 hasn't changed enough from the 3GS!? What about the HTC legend, Wildfire, Desire, Magic, hero etc....... Same operating system so work in exactly the same way all that has changed is the specs(in most cases less than step up between 3GS and iP4)
Oh and the signal thing.....we've sold around 50 iP4s so far and how many have come back?.........NONE! how many signal complaints?......NONE
People saying it's not as good as the HD2 which was released a while back - I have a couple of colleagues who bought them when they came out....both have had them sent away for repair and want to change them. Also despite the fact they aren't the biggest selling phone we get a lot of them back after breaking/going faulty.
SD card?? Most people use less than 2gb of data on their phone so for the vast majority of people it's erelevent.
From what we've tested with our demo phones the "grip of death" is highly overplayed and most of the time we can't even get it to happen and most people we've tested don't hold the phone in a way that will make it happen!
So for anyone thinking about buying a phone, think about what you need/want from a phone and then decide which phone you want from that, but don't rule our iP4 due to all the pointless criticism as it completely over the top!
Anupam, 04 Jul 2010is it really gud?? are you also using that?Nexus 1 better than iphone4, n d price is half of that techless apple. Btw android support flash n hightech, mac is just basic OS
could anyone tell me is this model capable of regular sim card or just v need a Micro Sim Card to use this device bcuz i don't think MSC will be availble in my region until dec2010
Apple greedy? No. That couldn’t happen. Apple loves it’s customers, right? Apple would never do anything unless it was "revolutionary" or for the sake of innovation. Eeeeee. Wrong!
Apple is just greedy money making machine.
Even 300$ per month for Foxconn workers (Apple product factories) is too much for Apple greed. So Apple complain for "profit loss" and demand paycheck cut!
Even 900% profit from any Apple product is not enough.
Remember the Holly Bible?..PRO 18:1 An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends; he defies all sound judgment.
Sound like defining Apple CEO?
I will NOT say that Samsung or Nokia or LG is better than Apple.
Just..separate yourself from all of that and see the bs for what it really is.
Open your eyes, widely shut by Steve Jobs, and take good look at the mobile phone market. Maybe you will see the light?
I have been using it for over a week black 32gb, what an awesome phone. Whew!!!
It's truly business class construction & performance, just awesome. Battery is better than before but could have been a bit better. This phone will kill others in Market. Way to go Apple, congratulations!!!!
Antenna is hardware, so where it is placed is placed, that is it. You cannot do anything unless Apple re-design the new one, carefully study of good location for the antenna to get the good reception. What Apple tries to fix is only to update their reception software to show more reception bars that would make iphone4 users less complaints, but it would lead to coomplaining to their carriers with weak signal emission. After the feedback, Apple knows what, how, when to do and solve the problem. The soonest production of new produect, the better for Apple.
Sold my iPhone 3G and got my iPhone 4 yesterday. Great piece of technology. Everything works as advertised, and no matter how I hold the phone I can't get the bars to go down.
- The retina display; very noticeable improvement, makes reading and viewing the photos a pleasure.
- Multitasking! I started a story from my NPR app and then went to answer email while it played in the background. Perfect.
- Still waiting to try the Facetime App -- have to find another friend with the iPhone 4 and Wifi.
- Faster processing is evident in every operation.
- Tomorrow the kids and I will be trying out the HD video and iMovie App on the phone.
Not disappointed in the least, and like it way better than my previous iPhone 3G.
More to follow when I've had time to try out more....oh wait,
- Battery Life is longer. Yeah, this was very nice.
Okay, more later,
Steve in Utah
First they said the mails replied to complained customers from Jobs are fake, then now they said it's real, the Apple PR lied the news. What kind of people are they?
Plus, Apple posted jobs vacancies for Antenna Engineers and related posts on 23 June, the day the phones went on sales (visit their site, you'll see). So they KNEW that the phones have full of problems and yet they still release because some f**ls just can't wait and slept a month in a tent infront of Apple store to buy it first before others.
Keep going, be their sl*ves, iphones lovers
