iPhone 4 launch - suddenly gripping a phone tightly to reduce signal, becomes a NEW thing lol.
Then, after they waste all their breath dissing Apple, in a stroke of genius Apple releases iPhone 4S, with EXACTLY the same design, and the haters scratch their head. Guess what, suddenly it's all about the GLASS. Strangely, no one questioned the glass for the whole year when iPhone 4 was using it.
iPhone 5 - glass is replaced with Aluminium, much more durable, smashes SGS3 (literally) in 3 separate drop test videos, and suddenly it's about itty bitty scratches. And also, suddenly scratching phone backing with keys is an acceptable thing lol. Wonder why other phone launches don't have a "let's scratch the hell out of the back" test hahaha.
What happens when iPhone 5S launches next year with same design?
The key to remember is that phones all come with good and bad, haters hate that Apple gets so much press for good, yet fail to see that it also means it goes under scrutiny more, and the bad gets highlighted equally as much.
Phones with much greater bad points get nowhere as much attention. If I wanted to, I could scour the net for every bad point about SGS3, make a list, and go trolling away. To me that's a waste of time, and frankly speaking I don't care to spend much time on things I don't like.
That's why I concentrate on the phone that I like, and its good points, which I can share with others.
I use iphone5 et where I would never go and use Samsung S3 to back home.
Year in year out, Apple haters wait for iPhone launch as much as Apple fans. They then tear it down, trying their best to find any small weakness.
Any phone will have a weakness, but what the haters don't understand is that people don't buy phones based on a list of weaknesses, they buy phones on a list of wins. iPhone sells a lot due to this, and so does SGS3 in the Android world.
With that in mind, that's why I tend to concentrate on the good points of the iPhone. If Android manufacturers wants to sell more, they should do the same instead of obsessing over their rival. A little too late though, as they are now being blindsided by WP8.
Baracus, 26 Sep 2012The benchmarks were only done on the US S3 with dual core Snapdragon so obviously the iPhone 5... moreplease explain me what is special about jelly bean? im curious and what is the difference it in the previous version of android (ICS)?
bv, 26 Sep 2012sorry guys but google wont be putting google maps on itunes.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/... moreI genuinely feel sorry for iPhone owners having to use Apple maps and ending up either 30 miles off their destination or doing a Keanu Reeves over an unfinished bridge.
I mean yeah it will get better but everyone now is just the Guinea Pig to eventually have it working properly.
iphone mxm isucks iLumia iRocks. The only thing that came out of apple this year was from samsung's pocket (if you knw what I mean...)
him, 26 Sep 2012Actually the iphone 5 beat the hell out of that piece of Junk Samsung S3 in ALL performance te... moreThe benchmarks were only done on the US S3 with dual core Snapdragon so obviously the iPhone 5 is gonna thrash it.
But the S3 that's been top of the tables is the quad core Exynos international version which benchmarks have shown on the Jellybean leaks that it will be about 20% higher than ICS with benchmark scores. And the S3 still has a Hell of a lot more potential performance under it's hood when it gets more optimised.
So don't expect to be bragging for much longer when it gets Jellybean very soon, and the Note 2 will make it look like even more of a little kids plaything when it's released.
It is a exceelent handset with great features with great features ..but prices is littele high ..so its a request to the manufactures to bring the price down
mk16, 25 Sep 2012lol...:D
apple said scratches on aluminium are normal but nokia n8 is made of aluminium only.... moreActually the iphone 5 beat the hell out of that piece of Junk Samsung S3 in ALL performance tests!! The Lumia is yet to be released so only time will tell.
The Samsung is so slow even the Ancient 4S managed to beat it in some tests. Lame phone from an even worse company.
sorry guys but google wont be putting google maps on itunes.
going to wait for nokia or check lg.

when we see any android phone forum, there is a single iphone users posted any bad comment. But in iphone forum many lagdroideans are present. Means, perhaps they all are jealous for not able to using any iphone......Therefore, basically, these android lovers need our sympathy.
brynn, 25 Sep 2012Do you have iphine 5 ?? no ,so what you got to worry about unless you are concerned because yo... moreAre you one of those who's so in love with Apple you can't stand people who have honest constructive criticism if the honesty makes Apple look bad?
was very excited to received my phone and even waited in line for almost an hour. got home even calling my friends i got the phone but to my shock i found few scratches below the phone. i thought this is only 1 in a million but went through sites and found this problem is worldwide. went back to the shop the next day and had a replacement but when i got back home, guess what! scratches and a dent wtf's goin on! return and refunded. i will be using my reliable 4s for now and may check other phones will be avoiding apple for sure.
I would love to see a brushed aluminum version of the iphone 5, would take care of the chipped paint issues. Wondering if this design was supposed to incorporate a memory metal frame, but Apple wasn't able to get it into production in time and went with aluminum instead.
p.s 5 million units sold in one weekend is hardly a sinking ship.
