I was thinking of writing to Office Of Fair Trading to see whether this 100GBP increments per doubling of memory is FAIR???

I mean come on it costs very little to Apple these memory chips they buy in bulk yet they charge 100GBP..

They should be made to ship this new adapter with the fone so folk can start using their accessories straight away ,,but,, no they are going to charge for it..I always say i like iphone but dont like the company. They have billions in bank and they wont ship a poxy adapter that costs few pence.

> In reply to brynn @ 2012-09-13 21:57 from nEA5 - click to readA lot of countries are starting to use NFC and you can buy NFC tags that you can use with S3 etc where you just wave the phone by the tag and the phone can do anything you program it to which is a fun little feature, and Smartphones are supposed to be able to do a bit of everything not just the basics that's only there to make Apple more money.
And the same with wireless charging, it's just something that makes your £700 phone more enjoyable to use.
But Apple doesn't seem to care about what the customers want and just go for what's profitable.

I owned 4s and me thinking to upgrade to this phone? No way! I got the uocked version of the 4s here in the Philippines. I please a business man and I go for innovation but with the Iphone 5?! This is a piece of junk! What the he'll happened to the innovation that Apple used to have?! I guess the R&D departments budget was all transferred to paying their lawyers to sue Samsung an dother android OEMs. I would definitely change to android and sell my 4s for 1/4 of its price even if they say android is cheap plastic. Honestly for business men like me you don't care what the phone looks like as long as it can perform well.

This wirless charging only consumes more power because it has to be plugged in all the time..If it is not plugged in all the time then when you come in and plonk phone on wirless charger it wont charge..So you have to plug it in and switch it on to work so why not not just plug in a regular charger and unplug when finished..

Thats why Apple did not bother with it cause you have to plug the wireless charger in anyway..

About NFC where are you going to use it??? Here in Uk there are 3 places accept it and its dodgy meaning folk end up having to enter their PIN manually anyway..

Apple will not tolerate substandard practise so did not employ these technologys..

Quadcore is another pathetic boring argument over and over again..Only stupid Android need craptonnes of power to operate the laggy O/S whereas polished IOS runs nicley on less power..

So bored of either kids or noobs on these forums most of you are thick as pigshit..Once the forum has calmed down and the phone actually released can us normal folk discuss the Apple iphone 5..By the amount of interest the phone has created it shows it has caused a huge disturbanceon how popular it is,,after all if folk were not bothered as they keep saying how come they have been on Apples forums for past 36hrs so concerned about it..

The white is gorgeous ! I will get one instead of my BlackBerry Bold 9900 which has horrible screen and terrible battery life.

I think Apple has reinforced the general view of a changing market, that is the impact of the arrival of WP8. If MS has learned anything from the Apple business model, hopefully WP8 is fully integrated business machine. If so it will certainly capture a large percentage share of the total market. Frankly I was impressed with the advances with say with the Nokia 920, and a little let down with iPhone 5 not with standing Apples overall great user experience.

Wanna hear better than a plastic copy?
One of the iPhone 5 features highlighted by Phil Schiller during yesterday's introduction was wideband audio, which offers "crisper word clarity and more natural sounding speech" according to Apple's press release. Schiller noted that the feature requires carrier support and that it would be supported by over 20 carriers on the iPhone 5 at launch,
