No, if you switch data off, it'll NEVER be used. That said, in settings there's a specific cellular setting that allows your LTE 3G or Edge signal, anything cellular the radios can grab to help bolster weak wifi, you can switch on an off
I think what you've read is the default is switched 'on' not 'off' so unsuspecting customers may be in for a data surprise. That said, it's very easy to find the setting itself to switch off and many/most data plans these days feature several to several dozen gigabytes monthly. I personally think this is a very cool feature if working on something that mandates a continuous or constant data stream without interruption
And again, you can turn it off. It's iOS 9.xx. Not the iPhone 6s.
Anonymous, 20 Oct 2015Why come on the iPhone 6s opinion page? I think cause you secretly want one. You say it doesn'... moreThe iPhone 6s in no way can come close to comparing with the machines that are Android phones. Samsung's phones are by far the most powerful, but I prefer Nexus devices. Enjoy your dual core silliness while the new Android flagships have hexa-core processors.
name, 19 Oct 2015But just to say the chip is manufacture by another company xDBut the processors are designed by Apple
Is it true that iPhone 6S still uses data even when the data-function is switched off? Apparently, if the wi-fi signal is weaker than 3G, then it automatically switches to data, resulting in depletion of available data. The phone is programmed to always use the stronger signal of wi-fi/data.
Swt, 20 Oct 2015The specifications are not flagship specification. Don't know why people buy this low screen ... moreWhy come on the iPhone 6s opinion page? I think cause you secretly want one. You say it doesn't have flagship specs yet iPhone 6s has the best CPU around the proof is in the speed that beats every smartphone available in both opening single apps and game apps also fastest browsing it also handles multitasking better than pretty much all phones. It holds the better benchmarks than the top flagship phones. After that we have it's gpu which is the best in the business beating every device in some cases doubling the frame rates of the best flagship devices around, again it dominates the gpu benchmarks also. Then we have the build quality 7000 series aluminum makes it super tough against all its competition. Then we have 3d touch which no other device has, again apple innovation. And the ram OK its just 2gig but unlike some flagship phones using 3gig ddr3 it uses ddr4 and that along with its quickest and slick iOS operating system makes multitasking a breeze with the device beating the competitors and we all know better ram management equals better multitasking which the 6s dominates. If resolution is the only niggle then don't buy it. But more pixels use more power and in my opinion the with the size of the device the extra display resolution would be wasted. I'm more picky on a phone colour balance, apple has that perfect. The battery lasts most of day and has similar Battery usage as all this year's flagship phones. So think carefully when saying it isn't flagship because other wise your saying a device that you think isn't flagship can out perform every flagship device available. As for the SD slot if someone buys 64gig or above there is no problem because I don't know many people that would use that much memory on a smartphone when there is also cloud space for photos and videos. I think you should just give in with the fanboy'ish comments and quit trolling cause your opinion isn't a very good one.
Swt, 20 Oct 2015The specifications are not flagship specification. Don't know why people buy this low screen ... moreSorry to tell this to you, but you are brainwashed by marketing team.
More cores doesn't mean better performance, iPhone 6s with dual core outperforms every android phone in the market, it's very easy to do what competition does, but try to do what Apple does. They are making very powerful single cores and thats very hard thing to do and because of that they are winning in performance with big margin.
Can you explain to me why would i want slower performance with quad core :D when i can get the best performance from Apple with dual core?
iPhone specs might feel low if you haven't used one, but try it and be surprised, why you think more and more people buying iPhones every day? It wouldnt happen if the device couldnt compete against all the other phones in the market
The specifications are not flagship specification. Don't know why people buy this low screen resolution, low camera resolution, no memory card extension, only dual core phone with a flagship price. This phone is not comparable with Galaxy S6 or Xperia Z5. It is possible to get a higher specification phone by half price of this phone.
Should I upgrade from galaxy s4? If I should, is upgrading to iphone 6s worth it? Anyway, what is the clean memory of the 16 gb iphone 6s? For example a 16gb galaxy s4 phone only has 8 gb free memory. Thanks in advance.
[deleted post]There's over 15 million of these already sold, of course there are bad units. I have had the phone now for almost two weeks and doesn't have any problems and battery life is great too.
The best phone of apple till now the camera features and all new selfie cam with flash there is non mobile faster than this till now on wifi its just unexplainable too fast and the screen is best till now 👍👍
rejaz, 17 Oct 2015You should buy iPhone 6 64gb because in same price you can get 16x4 times memory and iPhone 6 ... moreyou are wrong
IPhone 6s is better than IPhone 6 because you will get 2 GB ram + 3D touch option and you will get more update than Iphone 6 :)
How amazing phones cost more than able computers . . . . .what is it with this yearly upgrading, giving us almost the same thing back with lesser battery life . . .i prefer 5s . Thats where i'll stop for now . . .i use 5s for camera than my laptop for browsing and gaming, what else do i need?
heck the battery of samsung galaxy j1 ace has much more battery with less pixels and smaller display
agucibu, 15 Oct 2015I think you should go for the 6s, BUT, you sure you got tired of the 5s? I have a 5s and it... morenot big deal between 5s n 6s , we get 3D touch when we upgrade on IOS 9 , its not 3d touch but I does same job.
FilBoy, 08 Oct 2015Yeah maybe you're right but it's not a common problem whereas Android hangs all the time. If y... moreof course iPhone will beat androids on single core cus they were optimised for dual core and don't come to talk about Samsung things to me I hate Samsung they suck, btw u forgot for multi core score n5 beats the Iphones the reason that n5 is better , shut up iPhone 6s has lots of problem such shutting down , overheating on touch ID where Samsung don't( even if im a Samsung hater)
Cpt. Power, 19 Oct 2015Having an asus laptop for 1200 eurs. So high end phone its just a waste of money. Anyway thum... moreThe reason you expect comments is because how silly and wrong yours was. How many people do you see using a smartphone. That's correct nearly everyone just go out to any shopping area park workplace even nearly everyone owns smartphones the truth is there are far more phones and tablets users than there are computers being used. Computers are still used mostly for gaming and work which keeps you restricted to one area phones are easier and just as fast for most tasks like browsing our watching YouTube even shopping. So wake up...

Anyway thum... more"but when we are at home we rather switch to faster computers with keyboard."
I disagree, i hardly use computer anymore, i do almost all of my compuring with tablet.
"and it have much slower internet connection than PC or Notebook."
No, it uses same net :)
By the way its kind a hard to take your computer with you everywhere, or what you think?
Many people use their phones hours every day, so the price kind a makes sense.
Thats just stupid to compare computer to phone. Two totally different devices for different purpose.
Having an asus laptop for 1200 eurs. So high end phone its just a waste of money.
Anyway thumbs up. Who uses his high end phone with all its offers.
Most of us use phone for just calling and sending messages.
Some of us use it for internet but when we are at home we rather switch to faster computers with keyboard.
Than using phone touch screen which takes much longer to type and it have much slower internet connection than PC or Notebook. No matter if your phone supports LTE or not.
Also lots of people use phone for making nice photos but thats it.
Big new and super expensive phone Like S7 or Iphone 7 is just a waste of money.
Unless you use it as a workstation. Which is maybe 2-3% of total population.
And now i am expecting a lot of comments.
