I would never ever recommend anyone to purchase any android device from asus. Service is too bad. Cant blame the staff at the service station since they were not given proper training before introducing them to the android range(they were originally trained to handle laptops)
Asus fonepad 7 sucks..
Just 4 months since purchase, had to undergo 3 services, that too never came up with a complete solution for the problem. The customer care just is irresponsible.
Asus is not taking care of the problem caused by the latest update in FonePad 7. ASUS is playing a trick. Those people tried to write to asus, have been replied casually as a routine and have been replied as ASUS has left no stone unturned and asked to the poor customer to approach the service center they are taking all the data from phone, all logs, and all the informations which can be confidential to anyone. Its like an attempt to hack!!!!!

Cranky Old Man, 15 Sep 2014Yep, phone function and SMS are dead after the latest update and Asus wants to take the device... moreWhen is the next update expected from Asus? what is the guarantee that with the next update things will be back to normal again?
What polite words u expecting asusss..........what type of upgrade it is... 89 MB update removed using SIM card permanently........guys comment in asus official website........we need asus to fix our problem
I've given up the fight and sent to the ASUS service, its been a week and still no answer..
It was an excellent thing prior to the latest update received over WiFi. After the update the SIM shows network error and stopped registering to net works. It can no longer be used as a phone. Now it's like any other cheap tablet. I use vodafone SIM from Kerala, India.
Pls go to service centre and give them ,actually latest update has corrupted the Mother board. They will replac mother board
Yep, phone function and SMS are dead after the latest update and Asus wants to take the device to their maintenance, why, it doesn't help.
So I, like the rest of you, have to wait an update and use my old faithful Galaxy Tab 7.7
After recent update my fonepad ME372CG is not connecting to mobile network. Frustrating.
Asus FonePad 7 users need to submit their handset to the nearest service centre. They will copy a log file from the device and send to PSD team. They are working on a new update.
They will use the FonePad to detect the problem and try with new updates and tweaks which may also damage the phone. If they damage it they will replace the motherboard.
But my question to Asus is why don't they test the update on their own device prior releasing an update?
Everything is working fine except a basic functionality is calling or sending messages.
It's more than a week gone after the update hit the FonePad users. But still there is no solution.
Don't you think Asus must refund our money back and take their devices back to test and deploy updatesprior releasing a new update or new model.
