> In reply to mantas @ 2012-09-18 18:48 from gLJN - click to readYup, 3G unnecessary unless you expect a phone line. We can always find MiFi (3G/CDMA router) under $50 after market. My question is "Will 3G version available for less than $50 addition?" which make 3G version worth it to buy.

8GiB (6GiB usable) will be a problem when we want to install certain hi-end games (which require 1 GiB+ spaces) along with music and videos.

AFAIK this tab is superb (as I already tried it for some minutes); and waiting for this device is officially available here in Jakarta:)

3G is not a problem, because most smartphones can make wifi connection directly through its modem. And 8gb is not a case, beacause you just need to root your phone, buy a microusb to USB (mother) adapter and use any usb stick(for movies or large files), keyboard or mouse...

This is a Premium Tablet, Without the Premium Price,Quick, Smooth, With Games Running with no Lag at All,
Ideally it Would have been Better if It Had GSM/3G Support, & Memory Card Expansion, Get the 16Gb Version, as You'll Run out of Space with the 8Gb Version.

I've never written a review for a product in my life but the nexus 7 is simply amazing. Buy it if you can.

I've got my new nexus 7 tablet and its great but it has one dead pixel ... i think thats not a big problem because it can be observed only on dark backgrounds ..thats the only minus that it has except the 8gb memory )) that can be expanded with otg usb flash))

> In reply to Cylowatt @ 2012-09-15 16:29 from p7k7 - click to readI don't case about the missing 3G module. Since I already have a contract for my phone I would not want to pay twice. Right now I am using Bluetooth tethering for 3G connectivity on my N7, which works very well. My recommendation: do not use Wifi-Tethering, because it drains the battery of your phone too fast. Bluetooth uses way less battery power and I hardly notice any battery drain on my phone.

The only big con is that it does not have a 3G/4G module. However Asus is going to change that by providing Nexus 7 with a 3G module (but I already ordered 16GB without 3G). Also you can always use tethering to access the Web, of course it drains phone's battery as well, but if you REALLY need to access the web and there are no WiFi hotspots around, then it should do. Besides watching videos on Youtube and reading Emails is perfectly fine on at least 4 inch phone display so there is no much need for it. Still 3G would be nice, but for only 260 euros (price in my county) it's the tablet that is in my opinion better than the new iPad at least when it comes to price/performance value.

Yes. Undoubtedly the nexus has got the best configuration at this price point. Even it defeats iPad 3 if you compare based on the price. iPad is double the price of Nexus but the specs are well comparable to that of Nexus. Well, has anybody got an idea that actually when asus is going to release the tab in india???? I just can't wait to buy this one........

> In reply to iSJ5 @ 2012-09-11 00:11 from t7Xh - click to readhow can you say it's the worst? have you even tried it?
how about you go to any electronics store with a $200 and ask for them to give you your "oh-so-precious" iPad fo $200? even if they were to shatter the camera lens on your puny iPad and give the iPad to you for half the price, it's still can't change the fact that your iPad is much more costly than this. you're just a pathetic apple fanboy who doesn't know what he's saying.
I find it ironic for you, though, that you call every device that your apple device has encountered. you even compare your prized possession with a $200 tablet. that just means that even an apple fanboy such as yourself thinks so little about your own device. BTW, your iCrap whatever sucks. it sucks, like, so big time, that even its fanboy(you) compares that overpriced sh!tload to a $200 tablet that outclassed it. :)

> In reply to iSJ5 @ 2012-09-11 00:11 from t7Xh - click to readUh have you not seen the Kindle Fire or the Samsung Tab 2 7", same or similar price with half the spec, considering the Nexus has a quad core processor its the fastest tablet on the market, how you can say it's the worst tablet market just shows how limited your knowledge is!!
