Make sure the handset is visible to nexus 7 to connect and use tethering.
You may need to give nexus 7 the proxy server's address used by your network provider to access internet for WiFi connectivity.

Then using a USB OTG cable connect the pen drive stick mount will automatically detect it and ask for your permission for 1st time and you are done. It will not show pen drive as seperate drive but as a folder with USB between.
When is it launching in India??

hanscy, 23 Aug 2012i got google nexus 7 from us and still trying to connect with internet via non-wifi device(3g ... moreMine is not rooted. It seems you have to install the app StickMount which is available from play store. That allows to mount file systems and partitions. We can easily connect to internet via WiFi and Bluetooth tethering. But 2/3G dongle is a doubting factor.
If you have a 3G handset, enable mobile access point and make it visible (WiFi tethering). Then allow Nexus 7 to connect to handset over WiFi.
If you have an ordinary handset with Bluetooth, pair it with Nexus 7 and connect. Nexus automatically dials and connects to internet.
:)

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2012I bought it from grabmore.in for Rs.20000.Hi RKky, I ordered the 16gb model from grabmore a week ago and it is due for delivery in another 2 weeks. Just wanted to know if yours came with google play credit of USD 25. And how was the experience with Grabmore? This is the first time Im shopping with them and there are a lot of negative reviews about them online.
I really liked the fact that this device is so cheap with 8 GB internal storage, but without microsd-slot its nothing to me( I thought It would have one). I wanted to buy it as a media-device that I can take with me and store at least a big part of my music-collection on it. But without micro-sd I won´t buy it, because 5.9 GB is not enough for music and apps.
AYoussef23, 29 Jul 2012I love the specs but the nexus doesn't support flash player and it sucks No worries, install opera web browser and have flash plugin in it

But you are lucky if you search and find apps that mount fat16/32 file systems without rooting. that is possible. :)
diaz screamocore, 18 Aug 2012why google nexus 7 not make with sim card??? Google wants us to consume stuffs on Google play store (especially) streaming via hi-speed internet over WiFi. But Google took care to add internet access via Bluetooth tethering where all ordinary handset users find relief!
I found Google nexus quite good in terms of specs and what it provides in such low cost. Great screen resolution and solid built. The most important feature is the stock Jelly Bean which is the best Android by far. It is awesome on this quadcore beast. High resolution games are fun to play on this. It does nt support OTG, i.e, cant use any external USB/hard disk from this device. I am okay with even 8GB memory, coz I dont want it to use as a hard disk. 5 GB would be more than sufficient to have my apps. Broadband and 3G are getting faster and cheaper these days. I dont want to make phone calls from a tablet. I agree 3G support would have been great but any 3G phone can be used as a WIFI hotspot in the outdoors. I would say it is worth for what it costs.
AnonD-67204, 20 Aug 2012Can u be a bit more specific? wher did u buy it frm? hw much does it cost.. I bought it from grabmore.in for Rs.20000.
