Techradar.com featured the "white" version. Is it already available along with the "black" version which is not available in the US & UK? It seems that the "white" is pretty nice.
IcyDevil, 16 Jul 2012For everyone complaining about the lack of SD card slot, let me say this: the iPad(and the iPh... more"Not to mention that this tablet is half the price of the iPad. what more do you want?"
well this tablet in function is not even near half the iPad, funny they were making fun about the iPhone/iPad for lacking SD card and now they running to find excuses.... happens only in Endroid World
kamote, 16 Jul 2012why can't they just add the sd card slot? i'm sure it's not a big hassle for them to do that. ... moreThe SD slot is owned by someone so there would have to be more legal contract issues and more fees raising cost for the SD slot. Everything not solely created by Google cost Google money and legal contracts. The more bells and whistles the more it will cost. Not easy at all.
it doesnt have sd slot because of a new and faster file format system wich does not support fat,fat32 of sd cards.
It's one of the best Tablet available in the market in this price. I'd like to thanks Google for this great concept. My only wish is it will be the killer of all Tablets if they just add USB-on-the-go feature in this Tablet. And don't reply my comment with some Crappy lines, 'Does iPad has that function?', because I am talking about Android(the open source giant ), not about Apple( who is always greedy for money).
google should add a card slot and a back or secondary camera upto 8Mp for better sale in the indian market
No 3G functionality, absolutely NO interest! Pretty simple really. Will continue using my SG Tab 10.1.
IcyDevil, 16 Jul 2012For everyone complaining about the lack of SD card slot, let me say this: the iPad(and the iPh... moreI think people are complaining about it because with iPhones, iPads and iPod touches they do 32 and 64 GB versions whereas 16 GB is the max on this and for a tablet that isn't really that much.
why can't they just add the sd card slot? i'm sure it's not a big hassle for them to do that. 3g is also a great feature they can add up. want to be competitive? then add those essentials. plus iphones are overrated. i would never buy such and expensive phone that doesn't have most essentials of a phone/tablet. go get a samsung or something.
Yo, this is the potential new king of tablets, suggesting the price of course.
VERY Aggressive Pricing + More Functionality = WIN
For everyone complaining about the lack of SD card slot, let me say this: the iPad(and the iPhone, and the iPod) doesn't have SD card slots as well, yet no one is complaining about them. Not to mention that this tablet is half the price of the iPad. what more do you want?
Mr Smart, 15 Jul 2012There's two factor i dont like this tablet 1. No SD Card 2. No SIM Card Thanks, No Offense. This is a tablet, not a phone. Go get a phone if you want SD card support and SIM card function :)
TravelerRtB, 16 Jul 2012NO Back camer and NO sd card then thanks NO Nexus 7. Very soon we will see this devise one ... moreDid you realize that same and similar has the same meaning? Go learn some proper English, dude. Plus, the main selling point of this tablet is the price...So don't expect a 12-MP 1080p HD camera in one of those...Go buy yourself a digital camera if that's what you want. And, the iPad(and the iPhone, and the iPod) doesn't have SD card slot, and no one is complaining about it, so I don't think your point is valid. This tablet is also half the price of the iPad, in case you fail to notice.
It must be 3G at least. Yes, we can use our smartphone's wifi hotspot but the problem is our phone's weak battery life.
NO Back camer and NO sd card then thanks NO Nexus 7.
Very soon we will see this devise one of the big losers, and I'm sure Samsung or else will produce a better one with same or similar price.
I think GSMArena is one reviewer who tells you relevant info on any Mobile device, like:
1. Tablet with no support for GSM voice communication, SMS, and MMS.This is not a GSM device, it will not work on any GSM network worldwide.
2. Pixel Density of the Screen.
These two are most important features that can make or break the Tablet for me, Thanks GSMArena for such a detailed and relevant specs :)
If you guys are too upset about the no SD card slot, just bring a smartphone with you that has an SD card slot and send the files you need to it over bluetooth, in case the files won't fit... That being said, I wouldn't see it probable to bring this tablet anywhere without your phone, so I think it's just fitting to do what I have suggested. Maybe, a 32GB SD card would suffice?
