On a sidenote, let me point out that its mentioned in specifications that it is a quadband gsm device. So it will work flawlessly wherever there are gsm networks anywhere in the world. i understand your question n doubts regarding 3g compatibility. u can buy it and use it worldwide no strings attached.
i have a tab 6200 and a nexus 7. i love my nexus 7 cellular more..

please do not mislead. It does not accept ordinary sim card.
It will accept ordinary sim card which is of microsim kind. like the ones which go in apple iphone 4.
you have to either contact service provider for that, or just go to a mobile shop and get your regular sim cut.

Mini sim cards are the most popular ones in india. You can either contact your service provider for a micro sim, or get help from your local friendly mobile shop ;-)

This tablet is very good for the money you pay! Which is kinda ironic because I got this for free with a case and a screen protector. For any guys in Australia and use a 'Westpac' credit card, I suggest looking at how many points you have and then you can redeem them for cool gadgets (not necessarily technology). Hope everyone has a nice experience with this tablet because I certainly did! :)

I recently bought the nexus 7 cellular but I can't get to save any documents on it from my computer l.e word & excel documents. How do I get to save such documents.

Nexus 7 is a good device and cheap, real value for the money.

But they built it for a disposable device, The screen material is very poor I don't think it's Gorilla glass, a false specification has been given.

I have nexus 7 for 2 weeks, and after that, the screen suddenly cracked, it can't withstand pressure, even other chinese tablets able to withstand some pressure.

And when I asked for screen replacement, Asus charge me $205 for only a screen, while a brand new unit cost about $376!

If you want to buy Nexus 7, go ahead, but be careful with the screen, as they built it with a disposable purpose just like a tampon, "use and discard".

Device nowadays are not provide flash player from out of box however you can play it through various way such as Mozilla browser(download flash plugin) for watching video streaming. Or for flv format video you can play through 3rd pt apk such as Mxplayer or QQplayer.
