I bought this phone two weeks ago in Germany for 185 Euro( brand new from an online store ). Its the real deal. There is no lag in the menus. Its actually fast - tried CorePlayer with some movies and it run flawless.
The battery life is great - with wifi on it run more than 6 hours. I use wifi about 2 hours a day, write a lot of sms and about 20-30 min talking and the battery keeps on going for about 2.5 days. Really didnt expect that from a phone for 185 Euro :).
There are some problems though - 64 MB of RAM is not enough. You will get a lot of "Ot of memory" messages, if you tend to run a lot of applications at the same time. The memory is just enough to start Opera, Skype and thats it. From time to time I have to restart it, because it just runs slowly...no idea why. For two weeks that happend two times, but I was playing alot with the phone( installing different apps etc. ) during this time, so I guess it may be my fault :).
On some sites it says that the phone is running Windows Mobile 6.1 ... its not. Mine at least is with 6.0. On the support site of Asus there is no trace from an update to WM 6.1.
Does anyone knows if there is such an update?

PS If you have any questions about the phone, just ask here... I will answer gladly ;)

nice phone, and not expensive one.
the only thing that missing is the touchscreen feature.
but then again, if this one had touchscreen, then the price would be just as high as the other pda-phones.

does anyone know if this phone will work in canada (toronto more specifically) with rogers?
rogers uses GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz (2G) and HSPA 850/1900 MHz (3G)
i'm assuming this phone won't work with 3G here,, but i was wondering if it would work the 2G?
any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
