Where to buy motherboard for this model?
I bought this tablet that was used as a demo machine on my local store for 99€ only and it's a really nice 2 year old flagship tablet that has great audio output and options and beautiful FHD screen but it's kinda sad it only got Lollipop update and support stopped there as it should have got Marshmallow too :/ Still, i'm glad it works great with 5.0.1, at least!

I also recently bought an ME581CL, and it does indeed come with a MicroSD slot capable of holding cards up to 64GB, and a MicroSIM slot/tray for cellular data service, both 3G and LTE. It also will OTA upgrade to Lollipop 5.0.1., though it will run through about five different firmware updates before finally getting to the endpoint.

This model is so good that none of its current new ZenPad flagship could overtake it.
Just look at the resolution spec and the support sim features.

Very quick review and based on only one day usage:
I'm very very surprised by the quality of this little tablet and I personally think this is the best value for money tablet in its class. The build quality is really good, it's lightweight, thin, it just works. Didn't have any issues with setup, update to Android 5 came after several minor updates before, just be patient.
Been worried about ZenUI, it got significantly better (less bloatware) after Lollipop update. Overall it's quite OK, nothing that would really bother or annoy me.
The screen is very touch sensitive and I'm yet to find a way to set it up, as the stock Android options for that are missing in this rom. Otherwise it's just beautiful
Haven't had any lags so far after installing all the apps I normally use.
would I recommend it? definitely yes.
moji, 31 Jan 2015hi guys.
i finally save my money to buy a tablet and as a mater of fact i like this tablet, ... more
I've been using this for 4 months, so far no problem.
Advantages:
Cheap, lightweight, and good battery management.
battery is super good, lasts me more than a day, without using the standby lasts me 3~4 days.
Simcard option is + too.
expandable up to 64gb (though for media use only).
good stereo speakers, the sound comes out loud and clean.
The processor is quite powerful, I can play all HD games with no issue. Also can play emulators easily (psp emulator, ps1, gameboy)
Disadvantages:
1. During software version off the box, I lower the brightness to minimum, then sleep, and woke up to it not turning on at all! I tried everything, and through my good eyes, i saw that the backlight was just not working. so i scroll down the upper menu, turn the brightness up, and fixed the damn thing. never experienced it again on lolipop update though.
2. In lolipop update, I experience usual force close on the camera app after taking one picture, hope they fix this. 3rd party apps are ok (camera 360)
3. Sometimes the simcard signal will just fuck up, dunno why. but restarting the device fixes it, possibly hardware issue.
bleudo, 12 Mar 2015No voice call, NO car slot, Software issues and Battery drain and a pompous price when product... moreproblem with the mi-pad is heating up issue.. i never experienced this in my me581.. also this is better than mipad when it comes to navigation, super quick when you use mobile internet to navigate, saved my ass lots of time when im on the road.. mipad is also a bit awkward because you get a big device that has 4:3 ratio, and though its better for reading, 16:9 rocks more when watching movies.. would choose this over mipad anytime.
AnonD-259759, 25 Jun 2015The recent lolipop update enhanced the experience even more!agree, the loli upgrade was the best.
