this review is good for this phone..
This Phone is the Best out of the Best. I have been using this and i am fully satisfied with its performance and the look as well.
This has a Intel Xscale 520Mhz Intel Processor. which is Super fast. I have not faced any problem with this unit.
I have used a lot of PDA's n out of all the ASUS P735 is the best. It never gets stuck. Good Picture quality and not bad in sound and it has 3G as well.
The only disadvantage of this is it doesn't have a Keypad, But its not a big deal. You get a Keypad on your screen, What more than that!
Oh this unit has a flash too.... I just can keep on writing about this unit because i am satisfied 100% where as i have never been with any other models...
Please do try this Awesome Phone/PDA out .......... U will Fall in LOVE with it. THE ASUS P735 Nothing to beat it
Its sad that some of the users of this phone find it bad because for me, out of all the PDA phones i've used this one proved to be the best.
i used this fon for some quite time and im having a hardtime because it does not have a keypad, i was thiking before that having no keypad is an advantage, but i was wrong. i cant use my fon during driving, hehehehe. i terms of pictures, poor pix and vidz as compared to nokia. maybe i can rate it 7/10
great phone. seems i can do all with this phone. i could change ring & message tones, even change themes to iphone. qwert pad can be replaced by phone pad to be text friendly
It's one of my Favorite pda phone. it has the fastest processor unlike htc and O2. and best because it's windows mobile 6.0.
I'm writing this not for saying bad things about this phone ... But this phone really sucks ... Can't change the Messagge Tone , Alarm Tone ... All Sucks ... I regreted buying this damn phone ... Arghhh ...
This is an amazing phone.
I have had an O2 XDAII mini for 2 years and finally needed an upgrade. I hate the qwerty keyboards and wanted a PDA/phone combo that was similar to the O2 XDAII mini that i had. The requirements were:
- small and light
- no qwerty keyboard or phone pad
- good features: 3G if i need, WIFI if i need, etc
So i was looking at this asus p735 and the O2 atom life. i really liked the atom life as it looked fantastic and had a heap of feautres. but, unfortunately i found reviews that absolutely canned it for a lack of reliability. this is a big issue for me, as my XDAII mini was waht i would consider reliable yet was in the service centre for a month for a buzzing speaker and because the microphone stopped working. Not going to go down that road again.
I came across many reviews of hte P535 but not many of the P735 as its a relatively new phone. This (P735) is the only P-series ASUS phone available to the australian market.
So how do i rate it?
fantastic! its fast as hell and all the mentioned features work amazing. no hang-ups, no issues whatsoever. exactly what i wanted from a phone. if it had GPS then it would be fulyl feature-packed, but as i already have GPS hardwired into my car i don't need it.
the only thing that i first noticed on day1 was that the battery drained fairly quickly. so, i turned off WIFI, bluetooth, put the CPU into power-saving mode, and switched the phone to 2G mode (regular mode) and suddenly the battery lasts 4+ days :)
I have never written a review before, but i felt that i had to share this positive experience as the reviews i had previously read helped me to decide on this particuler phone.
I got it for $649 from Organiser World (in melbourne ww.ow.com.au) and it came in the box with 2 batteries, a leather case, and all the usual goodies. plus a 2yr factory warranty.
This is a very bad phone, no where close to quality of Nokia/Motorola/Sony.
Battery Life very poor, last only for few hours, Wi fi manager - extremely unfriendly, speaker quality - again very bad. It keeps hanging, at least twice in a day. I feel cheated, there is no service support in Bombay (India). After 3 months of usage, one day it suddenly died & is beyond repairs. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ASUS PHONES. Buy any other brand but not ASUS
i own a P735 for 3 mths....its sucks....always hang....battery life is short...less then 24 hours on standby mode ...... 3 times i send back to vendor.....now i change to ipnone....(my point of view of what i been through) no offend to ASUS lovers....
Just got the phone this yr.. there are some good and some bab points about this phone. Let me start with the bad points:
BAD: they dont seems to hv reminder for missed text message, and the maximum text size is quite small . It will take a while to learn the functions but after that it should be a breeze.....
Good: Generally all functions are good to use ,running on Mobile 6. with hand recognition.
I would give this phone 9 / 10
Some applications are not allowed in the Asus P735 it depends on the compatibility and some applications nid the flash player.
I own this phone and I have to say that it just lacks some features not in the Asus phone but the windows mobile 6
SMS tone does not stop unless the tone stop.
cannot modify the alarm tone
wifi manager is kinda stupid
bluetooth manager is kinda hard to manage
USB is 1.1
but evrything else is good
I say 8.5/10, much better that O2 Atom.
Great phone. But does anyone know why it does hanged 1~2 time a day? My P735 only have Chinese Monter installed. Please help.
the iverall assessment is great. but i dont like the camera, its quite blurred and slow. there's delay and hard to focus
The ASUS founders exercised their experience with the 486 and had a look at Intel's malfunctioning motherboard. Their solution worked, to the Intel engineers' surprise. Intel then tested the ASUS prototype, which functioned perfectly. This marked the beginning of an informal relationship between the two companies - ASUS now receives Intel engineering samples ahead of its competitors.
