People who say you do not need replaceable battery are simply being naive to say the least. After 18 months batteries would keep less than 60% charge which is important for mobile devices. If you replace it yourself after 12 months, it is cheap, the new battery will have more capacity than the original one and thus extending the device life time.
I believe manufactures are removing user replaceable components from mobiles, tablets, laptops, to force people buy a new device every year. They cannot deny that battery will last longer because they would not offer warranty for battery more than a year.
It is time to EU to step in and take action.
Also SS memory is another issue. Prices are fixed and expansion slots are removed from new products.

Sorry for the caps..
WHY NO ENDURANCE RATINGS / BENCHMARKS?
The Galaxy S3, S2, S .. ETC are all mainstream and yet they don't even test the battery life/talk time/web surf time. I wonder why this device isn't treated fairly?

> In reply to singapore @ 2012-12-01 08:51 from ucy8 - click to readYou simply do not need a removable battery with this phone. It lasts 4 days.. which is about 3 times my iPhone 5 does, and 8 times what my SGS2 did.
Please, before you ask, open your eyes.

I bought and tried on Bell in Alberta. No service at all. Not even LTE. Padfone 2 only works on Edge on Rogers and Fido in Canada. I have to return mine. SUCKS cause I love it

Other site specs do not show the 1700 frequency, and the official website shows a 60fps video rate. Can someone explain?

improvement
1.weight
2.camera
3.speed
features gone with the weight.
1.(2x)expandable memory using SD and Micro SD
2.Docking station(keyboard and extra charging power)
3.removable battery
so, do you fancy the weight and speed over the feature lost.

when the padfone is out people complain about the weight and processor, now i see a few things which is gone in padfone2, the expandable memory (one on phone and one in docking), the removable battery being another.
ok, one might say the expanable memory is not important, but when one is travelling, these memory means you can switch your system into work or entertainment mode in a breeze.
so, if you ask me, i think the padfone is better in all the function and mobility, while the padfone 2 is better with some other (weight, camera and processor).
whether its worth to forsake the 2 removable memory, bettery, docking for weight , speed and camera.
its very individual, but for me. i still enjoy to remove and plug the removable media into any computer.
