once you connect ur phone to USB, select "COM Port" as displayed on your V80 phone.

i just have my V80 yesterday and its really nice for Php 10,700. the camera is good, for its autofucos function. sound so loud wen i play mp3's and its FM radio.
to capture photo with flash, LED must be turn-on (flashlight) by pressing #3, press other keys and you will see the other functions while on camera mode.
if you want your photos to be viewed as "fullscreen" on the phone, set the image size to 176x220. press #8 simultaneously while on camera mode. capture, view it and it fits the whole phone screen. about 12kb memory used.
but then if you want to see a large photo into your computer, (assuming that u tranfered the file) select the highest available image size when in camera mode (1600x1200) note: it wud eat your phone memory about 340kb.
The sound really is so loud! especially wen u select the "Treble" as its equalizer. applicable on MP3 playing only.
The Headset acts as the antenna for FM radio, though u can still listen to the radio without that headset in your ear by: go to MEDIA CENTER menu, select FM Radio, press option, choose settings, find Audio Device, the choose Loudspeaker.
MP3's can be a ringtone by: go to MEDIA CENTER menu, choose audio player, press options, select a location where your MP3's are, select a song then press option then select "Add to ringtone". exit then go to SETTINGS menu, choose Tone Settings.... and you can see the song you selected there is already on the lists.
The V80 also "re-charged" the battery using the USB cable to computer.

ei i bought this fone and this fone is stunningly great! i need help from the v80 users though, i can't sync my fone with the handset manager(the status is always searching or unconnected). I think i have installed the handset manager cd well. Pls reply on how i can make the status connected to my fone!!!! and where can i get java games? anyone willing to share theirs? muchas gracias!

is the bluetooth of this fone capable of sending files? because i had problem with my asus j201. employees from wellcom told me that it has bluetooth. but when i tried transfering file, i found out that the bluetooth only supports bluetooth headset. pls. answer my question because im planning to buy this unit.

Finally, i got this phone. Great sounds, camera and features. You can edit your videos thru your computer. I tried to use the wap to download games but all sites are not supported this phone.Please help me, i want to download java games because there are only 2 games in this phone and the other one is boring. Thanks!

ok guys here it is. tried this phone in wellcom. the camera is damn great!!! just got curious about this phone on the rack coz its kinda cheap although i trust asus in other technological aspect. the great thing about this phone aside from the camera which has no red buffers sorrounding the photo unlike most SE cam phones, is the music. it even plays mp4! and you can watch movies in full screen sideways. u can use conventional 3mm headsets to listen to your mp3's and the sound is great. looks like SE nd Nokia found their match. u wont be disappointed with this phone. planning to get the sliding model of asus next pay day. its asus J208

according to the information on asus website, its says that v80 is only triband not quadband as what is indicated in this site. has anyone bought this phone and can you please tell if its really triband or quadband?

the camera flash is just an ordinary LED-based camera flash not a xenon or the so-called real flash like those in K800 or in real digicams,.. but it is said that it's flash performs as good as the one installed in K750(in which it has two)...

hehe,.. all your questions are answerable only with "no"... i think you're making a joke:-)... due to the fact that ASUS is a famous high-performance Motherboard,Videocard,CD-RW,DVD,Chipset and PDA maker... hope the've brought this expertise to their mobile products even a bit...

unfortunately, the review i am talking about is a personal review with that phone, i can't even find some sites for it's camera review, so i have to look at it in a shop here and take a demo on this one, tried to capture some macro shots and is amazing!,.. music speakers are great but i dont know if it can match W550's one... display graphics are great(makes me remind of K750)... maybe, hope some users would post some pics to esato.com so people would know how good is it...
