How else do you expect it to house this beast of a camera in anything thinner? Reading comments on here gets harder and harder.
Great thickness! Not obnoxious or overly thin. Really good battery too!
Why the f**k are these phones getting this much thick??? All Asus phones are 10mm thick or greater..... why they are not designing these much thinner?????

Rony, 02 Dec 201512 mm thickness. It's 2015, maximum 9 mm thickness is acceptable. What makes 9mm the only "acceptable" thickness? It is this kind of pointless and purposeless "spec chasing" that induces manufacturers to focus on the wrong features at the expense of features that really matter.
What reason does it "need" it to be 9mm thin? ... other than to simply "keep up".. Harder to bold? Less room for larger battery? Bragging rights?
Remember the "megapixel craze"? This is that all over again.
its toke 11 month to release this phone (annouced january ... release in december)
why? Asus why?
...will be sold only in taiwan. Maybe just so they can dispose of it because for almost a year old specs not to mention for 460-490$ is a bit insane. A couple of dollars more you could already buy flagship phones of 2014.
Anonymous, 17 Nov 2015Android is a 64bit OS,what are you talking about?Anything before Android Lollipop is 32 bit
This is good specifications:
On Asus site is quite different informations than here
Anonymous, 17 Nov 2015Android is a 64bit OS,what are you talking about?I have the zenfone 2 and its not 64bit. google it. I know some phone have the 64 bit android. But the android ver that is using on asus is 32 bit. Kernel is 64 bit. So 4gig ram is recognized , but 64 bit apps not running due to 32bit OS.
Just google it.
Just better to know.
Cpu is 64 bit but the android is 32 bit. So cant run even antutu 64 ver.
I bought the zenfone 2 . And im not happy with that funny problem.
After using nexus 2 for 2 years , i think its not the phone that i expected.
Heavy and not ruunig 64 bit apps is the biggest problem.
There are hands-on reviews all over the internet, from as recent as september... And since the preliminary release date has been for a while and still is november, I doubt we can assume anything until the month is at an end.
I remain hopeful, and I will buy ii asap (whether navigation buttons are backlit or not).
