I purchased a tone and though I received the message with the tone (I heard the incoming message alarm), I could not find it anywhere in the inbox. Can anybody tell me where to look for my tone? And once I find it, how do I install it so that my cell will sound like the new tone when it rings?

When I 1st saw this phone, I feel in love with it. But the thing is, the service provider around here in Malaysia (Digi, Celcom, Hotlink), doesn't support GPRS/WAP service on M300!!!! I bought the phone about a few days ago then I just found out this problem!! Now, I must give up this lovely phone for a Nokia, which is quite ordinary around Malaysia. This is the first time that I feel in "love" with a handphone. The design is quite simple yet stylish, compared to Nokia, I'd rather take the BenQ M300.

Many are asking for data cable and driver.
It can be bought from ebay.
You can search for that in ebay. I bought it and is working fine.
Its just Rs.430 including driver cd and cable

Well, Im an Electronics Engineer and have recently done my MBA.

I saw BenQ in the market and came back, got online went to goggle n then I came here.

And I must say that u guys have helped me a lot in making the right choice, bcoz yesterday I bought BenQ M300 only bcoz of this forum, Thanx a lot people and the Team of GSM Arena. This cell phone is the Ultimate option compared to the Price (Rs.5500).

The PC connectivity issue was a genuine one, so instead of going for the cell I first went straight for the Cable, and after a long jading efforts got it.

So I feel responsible to give u all my feedback on some issues which could be solved.

1- Go the Mobile Zone Head Office at Schon Circle to get the USB Cable along with the Software "BenQ Headset Manager".

2- U can also obtain it from the Mobile Market Saddar but with a lot of searching n these thugs will charge u like 1000 or 1500, but infact its of 450 including the Software CD (I got it from there after 5 hours of searching n explaining them what I needed).

3- BenQ M300's LCD is Xtremely bright n for that u have to reduce the brightness of ur pics before tranfering it to your cell phone (im sure u will know wen u get the Cable).

4- It has its own MMF converter so make sure that u convert ur MIDI files into mmf before uploading them onto ur cell, or else they will sound low.

I have a BenQ M300 and im quiet satisfied with its performance. Features are excellent, Gprs works superb, Navigation is easy, light weight, smart and good looking, Reception is also very good, nd a nice camera.
Camera quality is not so good but no other phone even provides this camera in such a low price.
Phone book memory is 500 instead of 200 and you can make contact cards for your contacts. Ring tones can be asigned to groups as well as individual contacts.
Its battery is quiet good and with the power savin mode and auto power off and on feature provided in the phone you can increase the battery life even more.
The only thing missing is the infrared port cause I can not transfer my pictures taken by the camera to my PC.

This phone is quite good but the features are quite poor... The quality of the camera is not so bad for only 110k pixels!
I use the m300 only to make fast calls, and the camera is usefull to take pictures and then to associate pics with a contact. but that's all..
For the same price, i think a sony T630 would be better..because there is no bluetooth and no Ir connectivity with the benq, and the price of the data cable is more expensive than the price of the mobile...
I use the screen of my computer to take pictures as wallpapers on the M300 and it works very well! the sharpness is good, but the colors are difficult to keep (the blue is easier than other colors)
The design is very good, the weight is perfect, and is very well sized! i had a nokia 8210 and they have exactly the same dimensions..(except the features.. although the 8210 had an infra red connection : )
The reactivity of the menus is poor. the screen 65k colors has a good value! the keypad is quite hard but it's not very important...
To make a conclusion, i would say that the benq m300 is a good cheap mobile, and is very easy to use with a good design!
(PS : sorry for my english, because i'm french lol)
