Ugly.. heavy.. really bad battery life. Certainly when it comes to specs, the CL71 is a pretty poor handset. Perhap's it'll be more impressive when you actually use it.. but I doubt it.

@Kal

Correction, the C81 is by Siemens and the P51 is by BenQ.

The reason you have two separate design teams is because all these phones were already in advanced development stages when BenQ took control last September. So there hasn't been enough time to consolidate their design teams properly yet.

Hey thanks...now I can see it clearly.

P51, EL71, CF61, EF81 and S68 are siemens desings...nice and sleek.

CL71, C81, E61, EF91, S81, EF51, S88 are BenQ designs with their Nokia style buttons and ugly red-orange interface.

Damn! man they should let the siemens design team take the lead.

@ Kal

The reason there are differences in the keys is that the EL71 was developed by Siemens and the CL71 was developed by BenQ. Which will also explain the slightly different user interfaces.

@Sqel

Lets not get into that argument. Yes siemens started slider. We all know that. Using the same form factor does not considered copying anymore. Then one might all the flip phones are copy of motorola.

I meant to say the design.. the look. Siemens never used those "talk"/"endcall" inocs before. Those are typical Nokia. Thats why it looks very much like Nokia 6280. Check it side by side. They didnt use the square 4-way nevigation key. Interestingly they used it in EL71 but changed the icons.
But anyways I liked both the designs.

Siemens was the first to introduce slider phones in the world. It was many years ago. Its name was SL10.
So Nokia is playing around with Siemens slider designs..

Nice phone..looks too much like Nokia sliders though..especially the keys on the front.They simply played around with nokia slider designs and came out with nice models. Cool.
