Phonebook problem from my experience comes from BUG in QSyncher E61 software.
Anyway what I did in the end is delete all entries (numbers) in phonebook both on SIM card and phone and then imported the backup before the problem occurred.
Yeah I did deleting and importing using QSyncher E61.
Just in case before you even try to do that export your phonebook to PC 1st for backup (exporting to excel as well won't hurt).
Hope it works for you too. :)

its a good phone ...but no video capture and is could doo with sterio speakers....and it needs alot more features...but its the best phone for that price,,

got the disk installed and phone connected tryin to put music on my phone, found out tha it only accepts mp3 files so i tried again with certifyed mp3 files but still doesnt work? PC says they are uploaded but when i unplug the phone it doesnt show the tracks, any one help? much appreciate it

Its look very nice. It's features are aloso fine. But i feel the network system is very week. It is a great problem for me other who want me.

How can Benq-Siemens call this a music phone. The sound quality is worst then ever using the headphone, and also the sound is very low. My Alcatel OT-E801's sound is much better then this bastard. This is not a music phone. A music trash

there's alot of information about e61 can't intall any java software, but why there's lot of sites that keeps telling me that they have benq siemens e61 software, such as getjar.com... i just don't understand, how they install those application to the phone...could anyone tell me?pls send me d answer to my email : ziveranoxies@yahoo.com. thanks.

the greatest feature of this phone is that u can block anyone from calling u i.e. if someone disturbs u that much, u just save the no. in the phone memory and from the "manage calls" u select "reject from list" and u r free.............

Had this phone for 6 months and it's pretty poor. Lot of the software hasn't been tested. eg If you have a sim lock, when you switch the phone on the keypad light doesn't come on until after you have entered your pin (tricky in the dark). If you are listening to a mp3 and a text arrives you can't view the text without stopping the music. i could go on.

I use this phone about one year and a can say:
This phone is perfect only for music (mp3) and a design is great too. But it hasn't got any bluetooth, infraport, java, 12am/pm format, it doesn't support video and max image size of photos is only 640x480 pixels. Now I'm trying to search some firmware to this phone and I've found that doesn't exist anyone.
I think that's all what to say about this phone Benq-Siemens E61.

Good basic phone. It has no FM radio. Decent battery. Finish is not the greatest(I could find grammatical errors). But for 3000 bucks(india), it is a very good buy with a avg VGA camera and avg music player.
