not the best phone you can have but the best you can get from siemens:) dont know how it works in europe, but the "special for russia" series doesnt impress me much, 'cause the "china-made-goods" cant make a good impression at all:-D but still it works and i dont wanna lose it.. have to wait for e72, this one must improve the situation with the cheap high-end functionality phones)

Sorry mate you didn't manage to resend or even to view an ordinary sms from those "sent" in youre phone!..
I usually resend messages this way: Messages/Sent/then select the wanted message/Options/Forward.../SMS - edit if need to - Options/Send - type the new no/Options/Send! :)
In fact it's easier than that..! ;)

This is the worst phone I have ever used in my life!!!!
I was given as an office mobile and I would tell you, I have never seen anything this stupid.
to start with
1. The call records do not show in the proper order.
2. You can’t edit any sent SMS or re-use the SMS or even view it!
3. Storing a no. is a nightmare... lost lots of nos. while trying to save on a night out! Very stupid sequence of saving a no.
4. System Crash or blackout- at very important times the phone just blacks out...
So many more complains but I have to back to work.
This phone is a disgrace to Benq-Siemens, My taught to this was that they actually used programmers from the Pascal days to develop this phone.
I need to look for 3rd party operating system for this stuff.

I've done a lot of research on this, seems like an excellent phone, but some say it has problems with crashes. Very hard to find now :( Also, doesn't come with USB cable, which is just completely stupid.

I have a problem with my e71. i was using it & suddenly it hung. i switched off n switched on da phone n now it says please insert sim card. i opened da mob n re inserted da sim but it still says da same thing. i even resetted da mob by *#9999# but it doesnt help. da problem is my mob doesnt read my sim nor any sims. is there any resetting code apart from *#9999*?
please can sum1 help me out

I have the same sms problem. Despite that you remove all messages, it says the sim card memory is full.
The solution is strange enough, connect the E71 to the mobile phone manager, there you ll find all the messages you already deleted! If you delete them in the phone managar, the sms memory is empty again.
