-may i know what video & music format/file extension supported for this phone.

you mean the icons in the preview?
well it's just a preview, in the real world you can't change the icons by changing themes.

Hi guys, yeah I tried to connect to other devices, 1 laptop (worked), 2 mobiles (worked), it's probably only my Asus A8JN that E71 doesn't want to connect to. Pity, well, I've got a cable so I will probably have to live with it. As for most recent posts, here's a Czech website with FW downloads: http://siemensmania.cz/, it's pretty simple, in the left menu, under Services, click on Firmware and there you go.
One more thing, I tried to apply various themes to E71 but when there are redecorated icons, my icons remain still the samy, any idea why this is? Thanx a lot, L

did you already check the phone memory?
maybe it's full, the phone wont accept it when it's full.
about the site, use google translate to read it in English.

i have tried to get friends to send me songs in mp3 form via bluetooth only my phone keeps aborting. apparently it doen not support audio files? does anyone know what i should do about this?

Any one have some advise. Tried to update my firmware from 37 to 41 and now the phone will not turn on at all. Of course I have tried pulling the battery and the sim card. Please please help

hello there.
soryy i don't know about the bluetooth issue, but have you tried to connect with other device?
about the FW update, download it at http://gsm-multifund.de/board/...o=cat&id=178 (need to register first) and then coneect your phone to the computer and run the updater file, it'll tell you what to do, easy.

Hi there, yesterday I also became the lucky owner of E71, however, when I tried to connect it to my Asus A8JN laptop via Bluetooth, it didn't work and I still cannot make it working. Guys do you have any idea, what the problem could be? One more question, where and how can I update the firmware of the phone? Thx L

Update:
just did a firmware update to the newest firmware (version 45) and still no luck :-(
can't believe I am saying this, but I will have to sell the phone if I can not solve this problem, because I sms a lot and eveytime receiving that warning is not what I like, so I really don't know what to do?
Come on guys help me out here

Hey guys,
I am also a lucky owner of the E71, but I have a BIG problem:
my E71 saves my SMS messages on my SIMcard (20 messages memory) instead of the phone memory (100 messages memory) so when I get 20 messages, my phone warns me that my inbox is full and I should empty my inbox. I also won't get an alert tone with new incoming messages (no tone and vibration) this is so annoying because I have memory left in my phone memory, but my phone will not save my messages there in the first place...
Can someone please help me ?

the MicroSD slot is under the battery, like the simcard slot.
it's at the upper right.
to transfer the photos and anything else, do it over bluetooth, just press "options" then "send.." "via bluetooth".
what do you mean by no internet?
have you set up the connection profiles?
you can ask your provider to get the settings for it.

Hi there,Paeiijho thank you for your answer,I've downloaded some cool themes from that site.I have a question about video playback.According to the specification of the phone, it has to play videos in MPEG4 format, in other words those with extension AVI.Am I right, 'couse when I tried to play music video in this format-the answer was -There is no application to open this file...Have you really try to play such a clip or this format is not supported.Thank you for your cooperation.

yeah, the site is closed down due to the situation that i wrote down here, so it's a bad news for users that seek for official updates and else.:(
same as you, currently i'm running FW 41 and i'm pretty satisfied with it, even though not many changes compared to the FW 32 i've got for the first time, but obviously the speed is upped.
i can live with few un-anoying bugs, no phone is perfect anyway.;)
i have FW 42(the latest) fortunately, downloaded it just before the site going to be closed.
i haven't installed it yet coz i have asked for other users about it and i don't see any reasons to do it.
but unfortunately i can't send it via e-mail coz it's too large, 21.5 MB, while Yahoo Mail can handle only 10 MB.
about themes, i find it awful too.
yes, you can install new ones and you can get lots of it at http://themes.modopo.com/ , loads of cool ones!
@ E71 fan,
hmm.. that's weird, it supposed to be saved directly to the phone memory not to the SIM, unless the phone memory(100) is full.
try to master reset the phone, you can find it under settings option.
if the problem still persist, it might need a FW update, which the official ones isn't availabe on the net for now, maybe it will be back in the future.
the service center can do it for you, if you have any that reachable.

hello
all that I can say about the e71 are good things. this phone is really good. it is very nice and it has the best screen i have ever seen on a phone!
But I have a problem:
Can someone tell me where is the option in the menu to save the incoming sms automatically to the phone memory and not to the sim card memory? I tell this because my sim card has only a capacity of 20 sms and the phone memory has a capacity of 100 (I am talking about the phone memory of 100 sms and not to the archive memory of 0,99 mb).
