as a long time user of Siemens cellfones, this one wasn't too shabby, but there are some letdowns. I previously used the cx75, and it was much faster in terms of accessing the menus, and i preferred the Joystick on the cx75.
The e81 is a 3G fone, but video calls aren't convenient as the camera is BEHIND the screen, meaning u can't show yrself AND see yr video partner at the same time unless u have a mirror!
The USB linkup is not very friendly, and it can't connect to linkup smoothly (e.g. it can't backup or store sms texts, and it doesn't seem to link as a USB external drive, despite the cellfone screen asking if u would like to do that).
Overall probably a 6.5 at best.

E81 lost if you compare the camera, 1.3MP fixed focus on E81 vs 2MP autofocus on W810.
and it also lost on MP3 player functionality, no shuffle/repeat etc.
but the speaker will give W810 a hard time, it's loud and clear, even better if you use the headset.
plus, E81 is one of the ceapest 3G handset out there.
about the memory, you always can buy microsd memcard to fill up.

my personal opinion as an E81 user, it's basically one of the best phone on it's class, great speaker, comfortable keypad and i love the Mozzies in it!
the cons i'd say, small screen IMO and it's a bit unstable and slow, but i think it's solved with the newest FW.
i think you should get it while you can, good luck.

Hi, I'll be buying a phone a few weeks later, and I'm wondering whether I should choose this phone.
I have no idea how truthful the descriptions are for this phone as I searched through about its details.
Those who have bought and used this phone, may I ask if you could name the advantages and disadvantages of this phone?
The design of this phone is great, to me, by the way.

I've got this phone, and like it!
My phone was a sample device, from the first produced units, it had the pre-firmware V0.1. Finally I upgraded to firmware 19 and is working like a charm!
I did one review from it when was a proto:

This phone is made by benq, but got the siemens brew OS, as the siemens nano-lumberg connector.
The oS from this phone is very easy to tune up, like the OS from EF81 and SXG75, not forgetting SL91 and the cancelled SG75.
You can change the icons, made your own themes, change the indicators...
It have the benq test menu, by pressing *#301# and the call key.
also, is possible to record videos with the led always on ;)

BTW, the design is very BenQ. Do you know what I mean? Square meets Round. What do they call it... Squond? I forgot. But it's nice.
