Hi Dali,
Thanks for the link. I can find a lot of information there. I thought this phone would be much more expensive, the price sounds good!
Is the phone easy too use? And are you happy with it?
Kind regards Irma

hoi Irma,
If you one to know abaut this phone, El71,
look at this review site
http://www.mobile-review.com/r...l71-en.shtml
THE phone costs 219 euro. If you order it then you pay 219 euro and 40 euro delivery costs together 219 + 40 euro = 259 euro.
Wish you all the best, and make the right choice.

To Dali:
Do you want to write a review for us? I really want to know some more things about it. Like is the phone from metal or plastic? And does it feel strong or very fragible? And what is the price?
I hope you will help me. Many thanks in advance! Kind regards Irma

"The FCC approves another cell phone. This time around, the United States has a good chance to be treated to the BenQ-Siemens EL71 slider phone very soon because the FCC has given the handset a big thumbs up and the all important seal of approval."
Does this mean there is hope for this phone coming to the USA?

the american market does not sell siemens-benq anymore since all their phones dont have the 850 MHZ. band, that is now used all over america and canada by the gsm cell providers.
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CONFIDENCE!!!

American retailers stopped selling siemens phones since the #55 series.
I think they will not sell them again, maybe the american consumer doesn't have confidence in European products? I don't know.

Hi everbody,
This is a Siemens phone not a Benq phone.
Benq changed only the name on the phone to BENQ-SIEMENS. This phone wil be in stores in june, I already ordered one in Germany.
This phone is much better than Samsung

No siemens phone has recently been picked up by any American carriers let alone a Benq model. Anyone know if this phone will be picked up?

MPEG4 file could be played by the media player in EL71, as mentioned my Mobile-Review. Very good then. Hope it hit the market soon.

Differences between Siemens phones and BenQ phones lie also in the keypad. Just check the
"space" key. Siemens uses "1" and BenQ uses "0". Can't wait for this slider to appear, I hope that all this politics of presenting a lot of phones won't be just words. I'm sick of the Siemens-typical delayes.

I've seen the original and it clearly has'siemens' on the front. The retail version will have benq-siemens.

The best way to check it to look for "Talk"/"end call" buttons.
Siemes doesn't use Nokia style icons.
You will notice few models has different buttons. Those are BenQ design.
It seems even after the merger they are keeping both the design teams and they are not in hermony.
