icant get mine to charge the battery went and now it wont do a thing it comes on then goes off straight a way can any one help or should i just put it in the bin

hi people am from kenya benq l71 is an ok fone owesome shape n good display but they should improove battery quality otherwise i'd advice people 2 buy it.

I bought 2 phones in 2006 in England, I live in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean, I need 2 replacement batteries because they both have swollen. Where can I get Li-lon 570 mAh batteries? I have family in the US.

What a shame, really sexy looking phone, good size and weight, love the flippy lid...awful battery life, and after about three weeks it wouldn't hold a charge at all anymore. Took it back to the shop they said all EL71 had a technical flaw and I would be better off throwing it in the bin and buying a new phone. Cost me £70, and all I have is a house brick...makes a good paper weight.

Its super duper flop model. After purchasing it i felt that i was stupid thats why i bought this phone. Because i bought it before 2 months if getting switch off automatically and when yesterday i switched it off its not getting switch on now.

I bought my phone 3 days ago , and I loaded the battery for 12 hours like the salesman told me , and now it was already empty after ONE day ! also my camera doesn't works ! I think this sell sucks !

hi ppl if u want the battry 2 last always charge any new fone 4 24hours go get urself a new battry if the 1 ur using is givin u a problem and charge it for 24 hours.jr

Okey can anybody help me with updating firmware, I updated it few months ago on some version and is even worse than it was, now I have problem with sms memory all the time it bugging ubnormal :(
What firmware should I find and where I can find it???

Well, i bought this phone about 1 year ago and I can tell you all that this is the best relationship cost x benefit that one can get. The phone features a complete basket of options for you to personalize it and has almost no limits at all. I have installed the Google GPS for free on it as well as a MSN application with VoIP and a Windows XP based operational system, I have also bought a 2GB MSD card that I use along with the phone. So I have MSN, GPS, Windows, and Voip all for free in a single mobilephone. As for to increase the battery life, just follow these simple hints: 1- Try to keep the display illumination on 10%, you will not need more than this in order to see what appears on the display, if you need more light just lit it up to about 30%.
2- Setup the back light to work for only 10 seconds, this prevents the diplay backlight to be lit up all time when you are not using the phone
3-Configure the ''slide'' option to lock the phone when you close the slider, by doing this you prevent the phone being accionated accidentally.
4-Network signal power also influenciate a lot on the battery life, so the signal your mobilephone gets,the more battery life will last. ( this is valid for all mobilephones)
5-If you like hearing MP3 on your mobilephone try following steps 1,2 and 3 so that you will get the best from your EL71.

If you want the operational systems for you EL 71, such as Windows XP and Windows Vista, just email me and I shall send it to you by e-mail, the file is not very large and is also very simple to install. Just put on your mobilephone (EL71 only) via PC USB CABLE or even Bluethoot and then execute the file on your phone.
