hey guys this is a nice phone, have not had so many probs but for the fact that it freezes at times and the batteries only last for abt 2 days. but its a nice phone

I do not recommend this phone. The style is gorgeous but it has terrible battery life as it doesn't even last a whole day without going flat. It holds hardly any messages in the inbox and hardly any space for music/photos. I have had problem after problem with this phone unfortunately. Trust me do not buy it!

hı, I m from turkey. ı take a this phone but, battery early finish,only 1 day used.

my screen suddenly changes colors and some times turns upsidedown, I have to restart my phone each time to get it back to normal, any advice? Apart from that, a very good phone.

Hey guys, My T9 options disappeared from my phone, and there is no way to turn it back. Can anybody tell me what to do? Or has anybody ever encountered this problem?

Hi there, i'm from brazil, and i absolutely recommend you to buy this phone, for its price it's for sure the best of its category, lots of functions, a regular camera (better than other 1.3mp cell cameras, and with flash), the cell's system works very well.
I have never had problems with it, maybe people that did was unlucky with some bad lot.
I also updated my firmware, and installed opera 4 to navigate on the net, google maps and also mig33 for instant messenger, and they all work fine.
Just good things to tell about the phone, having it for 1 year.

PLEASE DONT BUY THIS DAMN PHONE!
I bough this phone 1 week ago, the battery is sooooooooo Bad,I charge it over night but in the afternoon the the battery is dead..the phone wont turn on nomore..

I live in Greece and my EL71 which I bought about 1.5 year ago has not any of this problems. The battery needs recharging about every 5 days, with a normal use as I think. The recharging time is very short: less than 2 hours. It seems that there are different firmware versions around the world, with different levels of reliability. Beyond battery & reliability, the phone has many features, a very good screen, & a really good speaker.

this phone is really really bad.don t even think to buy it.i have the same problem with the battery.does anybody knows if i change the battery will be last a little more than usual.please if you know answear me thanks a lot.DONT BUY IT

Tricks to improve battery life:backlight at 60-70%,you will not note the difference,your battery will.GPRS & BT off,assign them shortcuts and switch them on only when you need them...most users (me too!) do not need them always on.Now my battery lasts 3 days(I'm not an hard user).

Emmanuel, try to remove the battery and insert it again...it worked for me,it was just a short contact.Otherwise, try to change the firmware.

I really enjoyed using my Benq siemens el71 phone but unfortunately the battery does last for two days, unfortunately for me i charged the battery over night thinking it will work this morning i tried to switch it on and it will not stay on,what could be the problem. Pls help me

yes, its true. the battery is not that good. i can only use it for a short time. god! what a waste of money. i cant even use it in the philippines since it is programed in chinese. cant use my mms. what shall i do. throw it away?

Guys, I do not know what's up with you and this phone, but probably I am very lucky because this Benq works really perfectly. Battery lasts 3-4 days (5 sms per day, 20 min calls per day, 1h mp3 per day). However, you can find a battery for 10€ on ebay. Try to upgrade the firmware if it always turns off.
