I have had this phone for about 3 weeks, which I purchased in Taiwan with very good price.Personally, I like the phone, it has pretty much all the basic features of a new handset. OLED is a great feature. I can understand why people say that it's imilar to a SE K750i, but there is no doubt that this is a good little phone.

Can I point out one thing, SIEMENS invented the slide the first ever slide phone ever! Now you're saying that theyre copying other people? Didnt you ever see a trend when a siemens was released other manufacturers just happened to have phones announced a few weeks later just happened to look like those siemens'

Siemens have made phones that look like this for a long time. Maybe you should stop saying that this is a rip of of Sony and start realising that maybe Sony actually copied the Siemens design.

But it is! Have you taken a look at the screenshots of the camera's user interface? It's set out exactly the same as the K750i with very similar icons. And lets face it, the phone just looks similar. There's nothing wrong with it being similar to the K750i (i wish all phones were as good as the k750i actually!).

Why is everyone saying that S88 is a copy of Sony Ericsson? It could be SE is using the mother board manufactured by BenQ. So there is nothing wrong with BenQ using their own mother board to produce their mobiles. Stop saying S88 is a copy of K750i!!!

Sweet. I once had a O2 X3 which was really a BenQ phone and the image quality was brilliant even back then. Glad to see the quality is still excellent. Definately think I'll get one of these if trhey come out here in UK.

Anybody know what the heck Jay is on about? I love all the comments about BenQ and Siemens teaming up but you all seem to forget about Sony and Ericsson teaming up. BenQ make some excellent hardware. I used to have a BenQ phone and it was high quality but the software sucked. Siemens on the other hand made mediocre phones. I feel this partnership will produce some serious high quality phones. I am personally thinking about buying the S88 as soon as it is available.

I don't get why they would give it a 2 megapixel camera but leave out something as basic as e-mail capabilities, I know most people don't need it but still, it's not like it's a costly commodity these days, most entry level phones even have it.

I like this phone, even though almost everybody said that this phone is just like K750 built by benq-siemens.. Don't judge the phone by it's design.. FM Radio? I don't need it.. What I need most is email, which was not supported by this phone.. Better get S75 for that.. But actually this is a great phone, compared to other previous benq or siemens phone.. not everyone need radio or email or IM. But for basic function and extra stuff and the price too, this is a bang for buck :)

This phone was awarded with INDUSTRIAL FORM DESIGN AWARD (very prestigous award in Germany). It seems that professional people who are giving these awards don't care much for the opinions of those of you who were mentioning similarities (or even copying) with some other phones. Guess you were wrong people, this design already won significant AWARD!
