-- This is a comment to "william" with the K800iand K750i sony handsets. There is a MAJOR difference in the camera quality. looking at it on your mobile phone screen probably wont show any significant difference, but put them on PC or print them out then try saying that comment again. i got rid of my k750i as soon as i noticed the improvement.

S88 had better camera than K750i. It is highly likely that Sl91 will have a better camera than K800i. But before making a comment,. its better to let the phone be released.

first of all i want to correct some mistakes:

1:"cybershot" is a feature and interface/os of a digital camera from sony, and not a lens, sony uses either sony lens optical and carl-zeiss vario-tessar/sonnar lens for their line ups of their high performance digital cameras,.. mostly the W,H,P,T-series has carl-zeiss lens and all of those have rendered a nice images produced using that lens...

carl-zeiss proved to be a good lens with good sharpness, canon beats it with it's lens but in style, features and price canon is beaten by sony like a pulp... i dont think n90 becomes bad with using carl-zeiss lens, mostly this must be attributed to the bad sensor used by nokia, even in n73 i dont know why putting car-zeiss lens doesn't mean it will boast overall perforance of the camera, it is a joint work of a Good imaging lens(sharpness), good imaging sensor(bright, natural colors), and a fast and reliable imaging processor(fast and outstanding imaging), that's what K800 got two of the three, while nokia only got one.. autofocus is already a nice addition to this luxurious phone...

being an avid SE fan I happen to own the K800i/K750i, while the results on both are fantastic, the K800i disappointed me. Just because it contains a cybershot feature with xenon flash does not mean anything, I compare contrast to my K750i and I can't tell the difference in colours, the N90 also proved a huge disapponiting 2mp regardless of the Carl Zeiss optics which were a naive marketing ploy to force people to buy a brick behemoth of a phone. So again, the name means squat unless you have a sample.

Comparing the SL91's camera to the SE K800 and Nokia N73 is like comparing apples with oranges. The K800 uses sony's cybershot camera lens and the N73 uses a Carl Zeiss lens, so technically speaking, those phones will take far better pics than an otherwise "normal" camera lens. Try comparing the SL91's camera to another "comparable" camera and see what the results are on that.

Andy Burgin, the guy who posted the comment about camera not up to scratch, do not believe what others say unless you have concrete evediece such as sample pictures, other yet do not believe what others say, period. I back that statement by saying I do not believe you either so it's best not to jump to conclusions as you've not tested it, so how do you know and whay jump to rash conclusions. Besides a prototype means it ain't the final version too.

This will spark up some serious competition, back the the good ole hay days of classic siemens phones, remember the classics such as the SL45i/S45/SX1 and SL55 slider. Now Siemens is back and kicking back, but with BenQ. Watch out Nokia/Samsung/Motorola/SE

My mate a worked saw the SL91 an was really impressed with its looks i got home from work an get my monthly mobile magazine WHAT MOBILE an its tested the camera on this pro type model of the SL91 an they say BenQSiemen have alot of work to be done to make this camera compete with the K800i or N73,the photos were dull an made every photo give it a eerie look so just hope they get the camera really improved or BenQ will have to realise taking over Siemens does not help there get there mobiles sales booming

Sad part is that its battery life will be poor. I am comparing it with another Benq-Siemens model to be more fair.

And the EL71's appling battery life is actually more than the SL91. Quite sad. Should at least be able to last 3-4 days on light use.

Just seen this phone advertised on the Carphonewarehouse website as "Coming Soon, November 2006" which is great news.
Still may wait for the EF82 to come out as it has been rumoured over the net!

Guyz know what. i see the best design in a multimedia phone at this time.. very sleek, and very feature-packed.. putting flash in this phone is will simply destroy it's elegance, though autofocus is there so, it's a good camera phone and a stylish phone,.. SE has also their phone with design similar to it, i think... the Z610... though it's features are reath-taking, camera can match samsung's D900, SE's K800, Nokia's N93/73.. but all in all, this simply surpasses other brand's design i admit...
