I can't wait for the 4G LTE to hit the US! It's super fast and very handy. Perfect for power users like me. Now, why would I need a gazillion apps if all that I need are all in there? Why would I need an app to play another app like apple's app player for flash videos to play??? An app for an app, too much crappy app. Honestly, the other tablets are just for amusement and games. My Playbook gets things done! This is probably the reason why its OS (QNX) is the one that runs nuclear reactors, ships and cars. Bet most people didn't know that. Android OS comes in layer after layer of interpreter programs so it's slow and requires a quad, heck no, an eight-core processor and a nuclear powered battery to run it. Same goes with Apple's iOS, although kudos to Apple's marketing a lot of gullible people get sucked in. BB users don't pay attention to marketing, they research.
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2012playbook is suck... i don't know what the blackberry peoples have in minds... no Chinese, Japa... moreokay
playbook is suck... i don't know what the blackberry peoples have in minds... no Chinese, Japanese & Korean languages can be selected... BB didn't pay attention to these markets and they are suffering now... they deserved that!
this is actually better than the ipad and Note, bridging with your phone allows for 3g+ data transfer for bbm etc, why would you want to make calls from a tablet???????? when most people have a mobile phone!! next you will get people moaning about no calls on a laptop, use your head, dont be suckered into buying the trends, buy a high quality, very fast tablet with a full internet experience.
It is Perfect. The App are perfect. It is 16 gb
no playbook please! playing with our money
no card slot whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy????????????????????????
AnonD-72110, 18 Sep 2012I wanted to purchase the PlayBook. But, I don't think Blackberry can go long in the smartworld... morewindows makes crappy tablets and phones maybe the work better on planet mars were you from but here on earth the windows has nothing on BB
Anonymous, 14 Oct 2012It doesn't take a sim but has 2g,3g and 4g ?!?,how does that work The 4G LTE has a microsim the the first generation PLayBook has wifi only but you may use the 3G on it when you may use the Blackberry bridge (pair the tablet and the bbhandset) that will use the 3G OR EDGE network of your BlackBerry handset
It doesn't take a sim but has 2g,3g and 4g ?!?,how does that work

Yah how can be delivered to Uganda and how much can it cost.? its nice .
perspective, 29 Aug 2012You need to activate the BIS/BES on that sim for it to fully work and it might even cost you m... morei agree with u dnt think dez a bttr phone than blackberry @ this point of time all the other phone are to expensive.
I've had my PB for over 2 months now, after my initial testing at store I was convinced of its superior user experience. Sold my Galaxy Tab as it crashed too often and its battery only lasted 10 months.
Using my BB's BIS, and wifi on my OS 7.1. Nothing beats the PB. They have just the apps I really need and that's all I want from them, the prices are acceptable as well.
New PB with 3/4G should be even better, soon BB10 will make mega, and will shade others, but this will not sell as well as others as people are too prejudiced towards RIM.
Anonymous, 22 Sep 2012blackberry is deadAbsolutely the new name is deadberry with a plaque hanging next to Imate.

I wanted to purchase the PlayBook. But, I don't think Blackberry can go long in the smartworld. Now shifted towards Win8 tablets.

Oosha, 12 Sep 2012I'm about to get this playbook but need to know if i can do BBM cause i discovered there's no ... moreDear Oosha, the Playbook currently has BBM if you connect your Blackberry phone to the tablet. However, if you do not have a Blackberry phone, do not worry. RIM has confirmed that the Playbook itself will have BBM. You will not need the phone to access BBM on the tablet. This is coming in a future update to all Playbook tablets.
I'm about to get this playbook but need to know if i can do BBM cause i discovered there's no space for sim which means i can's subscribe for BIS.
