I wanted to purchase the PlayBook. But, I don't think Blackberry can go long in the smartworld. Now shifted towards Win8 tablets.
And BB hasn;t sold single device at many sites.

> In reply to Oosha @ 2012-09-12 17:51 from fsVb - click to readDear Oosha, the Playbook currently has BBM if you connect your Blackberry phone to the tablet. However, if you do not have a Blackberry phone, do not worry. RIM has confirmed that the Playbook itself will have BBM. You will not need the phone to access BBM on the tablet. This is coming in a future update to all Playbook tablets.

> In reply to vk @ 2012-08-27 18:37 from XNts - click to readYou need to activate the BIS/BES on that sim for it to fully work and it might even cost you more to just use the data you purchase rather than pay for the BIS or BES which gives you unlimited access to almost every website (except youtube or any other streaming websites then you will be charged extra just stream). Blackberry is also cost effective due to their unlimited data plan.

if you're using a blackberry playbook with a 3g simcard, is it necessary to activate any blackberry pack/services or doest it work like a normal tablet on normal 3g plans......

Considering Business needs and usability this is Best Tablet. Mind it, its not a toy for kids. Very Solid constrution unlike "Plasticy" most Android Tabs. Screen resolution, response, Audio and touch sensitivity is way better then so called market leaders. Whinners will keep whinning but if asking usability and price this is best product. That true that RIM is struggling now a days but who has not is the past? Did Apple not? Was not Motorolla sold? peopl forget that RIM is the company with Zero debt on them. They have Technology which is trusted by Governments(Including US) and Apple Garden still could not invent ISecurity yet. I am on this forum for past 4 years and so far to my experience 80% people who through expert advice on it, have never touched the device. The like to whine and mourn for something that they only experienced in a Electronics Stores for 5 mins untill Sales Agent comes and say 'May I help you'. .and they go NO NO just looking and then like to run away, So Pathetic

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-08-24 14:11 from N9@P - click to readyou are very correct. Some people are already asking me to order for them when in actual fact most of them are living in an EDGE environ so how will they enjoy the cellular feature. my opinion i'd rather stick with the wifi models and use my bridge to do my jobs on it. cellular not it for us for now

I don't think this device will be a good buy for someone living in a remote area. Most places in Nigeria can barely boast of EDGE talk more of a 3G...
