I just got a 6230 on ebay, and it seems like the battery is not charging. How can I tell? Do I need to wait 3-4 hours? The light comes on initially when I plug it in, but goes out after a few seconds.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike

I have a blackberry 6230 and really like it.
just to let Stephen from Sydney know about his problem, if it has already been answered sorry.
I am in Brisbane and purchased mine of the net.
The country code problem can be fixed in the SMART DIALING section, here you can set the code permanently and it will automatically dial that part for you, you never need to worry about it again unless you use it in a different country.

A blackberry is usually meant for business people. I'm sure people who have business etc aren't wanting to play with games and cameras etc. I think its a good thing to have when you need to keep in touch with employers etc..

I was excited when i first received the phone, but its cumbersome to operate with the quarty keyboard, and the configuration is USA based an I am in Nairobi so it calls all my numbers with a + 10 ontop.

It's not that bad. It is a great starter blackberry. But if you are trying looking for an impressive phone. Keep looking. I wish it had a camera phone and MP3 capabilities.

I purchased the 6230 off the internet and live in Sydney Australia. To make calls to other Aust states or for cell numbers, I need to put the Australian (+61) country code in before I get connected. My provider says this is to do with the 6230 programming.
Are there any tec heads out there that can help me solve my problem?
